Hey guys, I’m wondering if it’s possible to take out the optical drive on my new i7 iMac and add an SSD boot drive using the 9.5mm HDD enclosure. any tips appreciated. If the iMac actually has the same optical drive specs as Apple’s laptops, this should be possible.
I see no problem with it except possible warranty voiding. But it can always be removed for service.
