Hi. I have an Macbook Air Early 2015 I won it at an auction, it has a damaged Logic board, i am able to buy a half priced logic board from a friends MBA Mid 2013, Is this compatible? Too put an 2013 Logic board inside the Early 2015? It says that my 2015 mac is A1466 and my friends LB is A1466, i’m new too macs soo i dont know what those numbers mean so if anyone could lecture me i would be grateful:) Sincerely Inge Norway
The logic boards have different model numbers. The 2013 is 820-3437 and the 2015 is 820-00165 from the top of my head. I think a lot of parts are compatible between the 2013-2015 models (screen, charging board, battery, I/O cable, trackpad and keyboard for sure) so it may work, but I have not done this before. You could just borrow your friend’s logic board to try? With this model, it is a case of “if it doesn’t fit, it won’t work”, so if everything plugs in fine, and lines up correctly, it should be compatible.
