Is it possible to replace the iphone 7 charging port with the one from an iphone 6s? I have a 6s with a broken screen, but functional usb-c port, and an iphone 7 that is functional except for the charging port/lightning connector.
Hello, sadly no the charging assemblies are completely different from the two phones. You will need to get a replacement lightning assembly with mics that is specific for your iPhone 7 - however they are quite cheap and can get good quality replacement one for around $12. hope this helps (:
Connector is slightly different. If you do get it to connect it will not work :(
Although it is possible, you have to do a lot of work… Look for a teardown, maybe you can do it, but i don’t know how much experience you have! :) Happy fixing!!
