After I got the battery the first time, I followed the website’s instructions exactly to put it into my iPhone 5. It worked for awhile ( it’s fine to charge the battery a few times) until the phone battery ran out completely, and I can not charge it. However, the screen does not light up again. So I then get the same battery from a different eBay seller, but it has the same problem that every time the phone runs out of battery completely, you can never charge it up again. My question is whether every battery has the same problem or whether it was just a coincidence. Also, is there anything I can do to have the iPhone work again with the battery? Thank you very much.
Hi David, The batteries are fine, you have a problem with the logic board of your iPhone itself. The “U2 IC” is malfunctioning, causing the iPhone not to be able to charge the battery once it is completely discharged. There is no easy or cheap fix for this malfunction. You need to find a specialized repair technician able to replace this USB IC.
