I have an unrepairable liquid spilled logic board in my Early 2015 2.7 GHz MacBook Pro. Can I replace the logic board with one from a 2.9 GHz model or are there physical differences between the two?

Yes it’s fine, as long as it is a 2015 13” (820-4924) board like the original.
