I am working on a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that has a pretty beat up mid and main frame.. I am wondering if anyone has been successful at removing the LCD from the main frame where the LCD is attached with adhesive? Is it even possible without breaking the LCD? I just want to replace the main frame because it has a crack and its chipped off but this requires the whole LCD to be separated from the main frame.. I don’t want to break it.

Yes, it is possible…but if the device has been “beaten up” it will take some time, patience, and a fair amount of heat. I would encourage you to use a heat gun liberally but not too much because the lcd can be damaged moderately easily if you heat it up too much. Use an iSesamo or other flat opening tool and gently slide it under the lcd after applying heat and work from the bottom to the top. Be careful and remember that there are delicate parts under there. Important note…just take your time and don’t get frustrated.
