Hi, Am also facing the problem with my VU 32 inch Smart TV, my TV is not responding to remote control. I have troubleshooted the remote as by putting new batteries and used mobile camera lens, also remote sensor light is working. And I tried unplug the TV and reconnected power cable after 5 mins, still there is no luck. Can some one suggest to me how to processed further on this issue.
Hi, What is the model number of the TV? Does the TV still work OK if you use the TV controls, if it has any that is i.e. Power, Vol Up/Down, CH Up/Down, Menu etc, you didn’t say? If the TV still works OK then as you have proved that the remote control unit is OK you need to check the IR receiver board in the TV, to make sure that it is connected OK. After that as a DIY repair you may have to replace it unless you can find the service manual for the TV, to see if it is the IR receiver that is the problem. Presumably you have checked that there is nothing blocking the IR “window” on the front of the TV preventing the reception of the signal from the remote unit?
