I reinstalled windows 10 on my Acer Aspire A715-72G and the trackpad is no longer working… Any tips right now it is resetting at 32% I think it is stuck but will give it another 30 minutes. Yes I tried installing the driver to no avail
Have had this happen with Acers myself. Was your previous W10 and upgrade form W7? Generally a driver issue. Do a COMPLETE unistall of driver. i.e. uninstall and then run something like Ccleaner, Privazer or Advanced System Care (all long standing freeware) to clean up leftovers. Personally, I use Driver Booster to find latest drivers from the web.
Have a try usb mouse. Ither way. It IS A DRIVER ISSUE
hit F7 key, it turns Acer laptops touchpad of and on, also delete HID compliant drivers and restart. Just installed W10 update and … It works again
Download the driver from the internet from the aspire s websiteb for your specific model and put it into a USB and plug the drive in PC Use a secondary mouse to operate and install these drivers it should work like a charm.
