I completed installing hard drive and dvd rewriter back into computer, and cleaned lint dust off inside computer. I started computer to check the power and it now shows an image of a folder icon with a question mark on top of folder icon which is where the apple icon used to be. The folder and question mark symbol are both flashing. What does this mean. I am relieved that I was able to put everything back together and that it powers on, but it is now showing the screen with unique white screen ?folder icon in center of screen.
Well, it sounds like you have successfully replaced the hard drive, now comes the fun part. You have to install the operating system! :-) You’ll need to insert the original DVD for OSX that came with your machine and boot from that. You can also boot from an external drive that has a system bootable partition already installed.
