A friend gave me his 1st Gen Firestick. How do I register it to me so I can use it?

@jim hough Try this: plug the Fire TV Stick into your TV’s HDMI port and plug the USB cable into a USB power supply (do not plug the USB cable into your TV). Wait for the device to boot up, then press right on the directional pad and the back button simultaneously for 10 seconds. When you see the pop-up on your TV, select “Reset”.
