Hi, My Daughters phone was in a bag with a bottle of Pepsi, which leaked and left the phone in a puddle of Pepsi for about ten minutes. The phone has been dried out and I have replaced the screen for an aftermarket screen with front camera and home button included. However the Rear camera did not work ,so I bought a used replacement, which worked fine for about 30 minutes, then the image went very dark to the point you can not really see anything. If you hold it up to a light source you can see a bit of the image but its very dark all around it. In very bright conditions you can see more of an image but it is very poor and green/yellow in colour with lines and a flicker on the image. (see picture ) I have just installed a brand new genuine rear camera, but this is exactly the same. Any ideas if this can be resolved and if so what I should do ?? Thank you in advance Mike
It seems the main camera circuitry got damaged by the spill. The repair is possible but it requires diagnostic and microsoldering tools and skills. Phones that suffer liquid damage and are not taken care for by a professional are usually very short lived, drying up the phone is usually not sufficient unless for a fast data recovery.
