Hi everyone I have iPhone 5 that the rear camera doesn’t work. I have restore the phone to factory settings and replaced the rear camera and still no luck. The camera is just black. Front camera working. I disconnect the battery and connect it again. Any more suggestions please help Thanks
For example it’s not the first time that I see this component u13 fail. If you can measure the rear camera tension on the line before this component but not after it you can remove it and run a jumper to restore the tension that allows the rear camera to work. It could also be one of the many filters or capacitors that are on the rear camera connector lines, they are a lot. It’s not easy to find the problem and it’s also more difficult to fix it without a microscope and some experience in microsoldering.
Take it to Apple ask them for a complete fresh install of iOS not just a restore
There are several component on the board that could have failed so there is not the right communication between the logic board and the rear camera. It is a microsoldering work, without the right equipment and skills you can’t do anything more than that, I’m sorry. You could try another camera but it almost impossible that the two you have now are both faulty.
