I’m glad I saw the post about re-attaching the cable cord input; I had no idea that there were places that could hold a charge for months inside the CRT TV. O.O I was going to try just soldering where it has been broken off from my circuit board but I’ve never done this before; if anyone has any tips that would be great! Thank you! :)
Hi, Here is a link to a previous discussion that may help you. Basically this is a area I would not recommend to a beginner. How dangerous is it to work on a CRT display?
Hi Wren, here is my take on this. I do not mind fixing iPod, iPhones and computers or even my 72 Jeep CJ or renovating my 35 year old ranch style house, but I am way to chicken to mess around on the inside of a CRT display. Darn, those things can just kill you. Hope this makes sense, I’d leave to somebody with more knowledgeable of CRT’s. Good luck to you and whatever you decide, be careful :-)
