Hello, My MacBook air a1466 randomly shuts down and then randomly starts again. I have tried all the easy stuff like open the bottom lid and disconnect the battery (replaced too), new SSD, and cleaned everything, fresh OS install, all the SMC and PRAM reset. I think there is something wrong with the logic board. Can someone point me in a direction? That would be very useful. Thank you in Advance Update (11/09/2020)
Well you isolated the issue down to a logic board issue. Removing a bad battery as well as a software level issue. The ticking sound is not good! Thats a capacitor or inductor breaking down. Time to find someone with deeper skills who can fix your logic board. Maybe we can aim you to someone where do you live country and newest city.
