My keyboard randomly types and sends messages since I put a new screen in. Is this a faulty screen or cable? How do I fix this? I’m not really sure which cable is the digitizer. Is there a chance I don’t have it connected all the way?
Sounds like a bad quality / defective screen. Where did you get your screen from? I think the most you can do is reseat the front panel ribbon connections when plugging to logic board. Check the metal parts of the ribbon connector plugs to see if they are concave or flat. If they are concave you can straighten it out to be flat by using your fingers. Make sure you hear or feel the click lock mechanism to confirm that it is plugged in firmly. Make sure you do all this while the battery is unplugged. Once you’ve done all that, hold the power button for 5 seconds with the battery unplugged then plug the battery back in and see if it works fine. If it doesn’t work after all this then I think the screen is faulty. You can additionally clean the logic board front panel connector pins with isopropyl alcohol. Make sure it’s at least 90%. The higher the %, the better it is. Let the phone dry out for a minute before plugging the battery in. I’ve heard and seen many bad quality / cheap quality screens do this.
