Chosen Solution
I bought replacement screen from ifixit and just finished replacing it. Black screen randomly appears when I press the power button. The backlight still turns on and there is no other problems. I reconnect the ribbon cables several times but the problem keeps appearing. Is it a screen problem or a replacement mistake? Which of the three ribbon cables is display cable?
Long vertical = digitizer Short horizontal = LCD Short vertical = front camera Restart the phone or unplug the battery and plug it back in to try the replacement screen or after any changes… Try the old screen to rule out a problem with the part.
