Chosen Solution
Hi , I wanted to ask if the RAM of the iPhone 4 could be updraded to 1 GB and how.
No it is not.“For the iPhone 4 there are two chips of 256 MB for a total of 512 MB.[18][19][20] RAM is connected to the processor using ARM’s 64-bit-wide AMBA 3 AXI bus.” from here. So unless you have the equipment and the skills to de-solder the memory modules, solder some new ones on (if you can track them down or design your own), and rewrite the iphone firmware, it will not be possible to expand your physical RAM. hope this helps. Good Luck.
My opinion…dont buy iphone 4/4s…cannot play mobile lagends because RAM of iphone 4/4s is small…not enough to play a such high graphics games okay
Yes you can. Follow the below mentioned steps carefully.
- Break open the back cover and pull out the chip kinda thingy from inside the phone.
- Replace the RAM of 512 mb with a RAM of 1gb from wherever you can find.
- Glue it back to iPhone.
- Tada. You have a non functional iPhone with 1 GB ram now. Good luck.
