Hello everyone, I have a chance to buy a used MacBook Pro Core i7 2.2 ghz with 8gb ram and a 256 SSD The person I’m buying it from is a friend and has recently replaced the battery (it only has 8 charge cycles on it. I’m able to get for 400 Canadian (which works out to about 310 US) and I’ve been borrowing it to do some stuff for my kids’ school. I really like it, but I want to make sure it’s a good price and it’s a laptop that will last me a good few years before I need to upgrade. It has the built-in ATI Radeon 650m and the integrated intel graphics card. Thanks so much in advance!
Without doubt a great price for this MacBook Pro. RAM and SSD upgrades account for almost half the price here. It’s still a powerful Mac that doesn’t have any problem in running any software for daily casual use and some professional apps too. Since it runs latest MacOS you’re gonna have security updates from Apple for years to come, but it won’t run next operating system that will be released at fall.
I would not recommend any of my customers to buy a 2011 15" MBP. They are well known for GPU issues requiring a motherboard to fix it.
