i have a summer escape pool and the pump just hums what can i do to fix it
KATHY, there are a few possibilities. Chance of a bad motor start capacitor ( use a multimeter or capacitance meter to check that) a seized pump motor (unplug the pump and see if you can turn the impeller by hand) or a short on the start winding of your motor. We could possibly give you a bit better info if we would know what make and model your pump is. Hope this helps, good luck.
