washer clicks when it is agitating. Teeth on pully drive seem to be making the noise. what causes the teeth to wear?
Sprocket wear can be caused by a number of things:
- dirt/debris damaging the teeth
- Improper pulley tension
- Worn chain or belt
- Bad bearings (causing high resistance) If you make the repair on your washer, I would highly recommend replacing as many parts in the pulley line as possible and giving everything a quick clean and lube.
