I have had my PlayStation for over a year bow and for the last few days it won’t power on. When I press the power button it blinks blue, makes a noise and powers of. I have managed to boot it my hitting it on its back at times but that doesn’t always work. I was thinking that the power supply might be out of place so I could open it up and put it in place but am not sure. Anyone. Got any suggestions.

Given your symptoms it’s unlikely that it’s a bad power supply. It’s most likely to be either a bad APU or bad connections between the APU and motherboard. I hope this helps.

The link below should help you. It seems it will likely be either be a bad power supply or a problem with APU chip. Is this a faulty psu or gpu?
