Chosen Solution I’m using a MacBook PRO Early 2011, which I upgraded the RAM to iFixit 16GB RAM Kit, the issue which I’m having now, is that the RAM is consumed quickly, and the Mac freezes, only hard reset helps it. The problem appeared several weeks ago. The Mac is used for react-native development, and it freezes, when iPhone simulator is turned on. If you didn’t buy the upgrade from Apple, no. If Apple didn’t make that option, no. This machine has ZERO upgradeability. All upgrades must be purchased upfront and requires Apple providing the option in the first place....
Chosen Solution Please Tell Me Can i use normal Thermal compound on CPU or GPU’s Heatsink. Kamran Dawood, yes you can, for as long as it is Thermal Compound. Do not substitute with anything else. Some have better heat transfer properties than other, i.e. Arctic silver5 etc. Check this table for a comparison of the effectiveness of different compounds. Hope this helps, good luck.
Chosen Solution My 27” iMac doesn’t want to turn on. Did the usual check of outlet, cord etc. I read somewhere to try unplugging the power for at least 30 seconds. That didn’t work, but I did find that unplugging for several hours did. When on, it seems fine. But if I turn it off, it absolutely will not power back up unless unplugged for an extended time. Does this make any sense?...
Chosen Solution What is the speed difference with the optical drive vs HD SATA connections? This series uses a PATA optical drive which I/O speed is 133 Mb/s. Your HD SATA port is SATA II (3.0 Gb/s). I wouldn’t recommend switching out the optical drive for a SSD. Between the very slow I/O speed you’ll also encounter issues finding a SATA I (1.5 Gb/s) SSD that will work effectively here. A better direction here is to switch out your current HD for a SSHD drive like the Seagate Desktop SSHD....

Chosen Solution Back story first. Water on laptop… New harddrive and motherboard. No screen didnt get wet. After complete tear down and temp reassembly to see if it works, i managed to get windows7 reinstalled. Loaded and updated all drivers. But had to have tv for screen via hdmi port. After making sure all drivers were ok I shut it down again and dove in..all wires coming from screen including wifi antenna seem in good nic....

Chosen Solution do i need to charge it first before turning on…or should new battery already have power the whole story ok i recently bought a water damaged iphone 5…first it would show apple logo for 3 seconds then disappear when plugged in…when i held home button for 15 seconds it would display connet to itunes screen ..once i unplugged it from wall charger it would go dead…it would not do anything once plugged to pc or laptop …repair shop diagnosed and said bad battery and could fix for $90 ( yeah right ) i orderd new battery from amazon for $13 including tools and replaced it my self im kinda tech savvy :) … only problem is i have no usb or wall charger as friend mistakenly took mines do i need to charge new battery first…or now do i need to replace dock connector also...

Stopped playing it for a few months, then loaded it again when I bought a new LCD tv and then when it loaded I got smudges on all the text everytime I loaded the game, so I tried another game and it did the same, tried it without the game and it does the same in the menu screen (including the dreamcast start-up logo)....

Yes - Inside the sealed case is a glued & soldered & welded you-can’t-get-me-out Li-on battery. How old is it ? Mine is old and has become “brush-as-fast-as-you-can”. If you can get it apart, yes, you could replace the battery. However, most of them wear out & leak where the gear shaft meets the brush....

Now my kid is old enough to have a laptop and I thought it would be easy to just replace the hard drive. I bought a PNY 120GB SATA-III SSD model: CS1311 I used a SATA adapter to plug into my newer mac to format the hard drive I created a bootable OS X Sierra on USB The only problem I am having is that the 2008 Mac does not recognize this new hard drive....
