I have an infrared heat scanner that makes it easy to get a reading on the temp, and they are cheap and readily available, so is there a temperature range that should be applied to the screen, and other tablets and smartphones....
Chosen Solution My Ipod 6th generation worked perfectly for years. One day while listening to a podcast, a voice suddenly interrupted. It started listing the contents of my Ipod and would not stop. I went into settings, made sure voice over was turned off (it was) and it kept on doing it. I went to local Applestore and met with a tech. He disappeared with it for 15 min, then returned saying that he could not be sure, but he thought the battery needed changing....
Chosen Solution I bought a tempered glass screen protector and it came with alcohol wipe to clean the screen before putting on the protector. I have seen many videos of people using these wipes to clean their iPhone before putting on the screen protector. However, i have been searching around on the net if you should use this or not. Every page i visited said that you shouldnt use it because it will make the oleophobic coating go away....

I spilled some nailpolish remover (ingredients : acetone, avocado oil, coconut oil, olive oil, fragrance, denatonium benzoate, yellow 11, green 6, benzophenone-1) on my MacBook Air yesterday around 5p.m. I flipped it upside down and open immediately. I turned it on today at 11a.m. and it’s working fine. Two of the keys are sticky but they still work and it booted up fine. I’m reading in this forum that nailpolish remover leaves flammable traces but does this mean my computer might light on fire?...
Chosen Solution I have a mid 2012 MBP 13" and I have noticed that it tends to spike up to 100c almost immediately on any sort of semi-intensive task so I decided to reapply the thermal paste but the highs are still uncomfortably hot. The lows are better dropping from staying in the high 60s to dropping to about 55 at idle. Even if I manually set the fan speed to 100% it still gets hot....

Chosen Solution The subwoofer on my Sony HT-CT290 has suddenly stopped working. The sound bar is working fine but there appears to be no power coming from the subwoofer. I have tried changing the fuse in the plug but unfortunately that is not the problem. It is 15months old and I have spoken to Sony but it was only covered by a 12 month warranty typically. Update (02/05/2020) Hi @tiffanylaw , There is nothing obvious showing in the pictures so it will come down to doing some tests, initially static testing (without the power connected) but after that it will need to be with the power connected....
Chosen Solution system sleeps randomly, and system log shows the following message, “powermanagement emergency overtemp signal. going to sleep” I’d reset the PMU and PRAM to see if that makes any difference. I’m sure you’ve looked at your sleep settings, but if not, I’d take a look there and see if the machine is falling asleep when it’s set to, or at a different time. Chosen Solution So a customer comes in saying that her home button won’t sit flush after a repair, and it clearly wobbles with the screen on. It reminds me of and iphone home button with no gasket. Problem is, I don’t see anywhere that the s7 uses a home button gasket or anything and I am wondering may be causing the home button to wiggle so. So far I have tried double sided adhesive to hold it down with no luck....
Chosen Solution This iMac has some issue where it does not always boot with the Apple bong after power is removed if I need to remove the power cord. This is the second time it has done it and I was initially able to clear it up with a PRAM reset (no SMC needed at the time). However, it has now come back for a second time. Chosen Solution Why the refrigerator part of a Kenmore French Door Bottom Freezer (Model 253.7041341 isn’t cooling, it’s warmer? But the freezer part is working fine? This is manufacturers by Frigidaire for Sears. Look for any frost on the rear wall in the freezer. Listen for a fan to come on inside when you shut the door. When the compressor is running the condenser fan , located by the compressor, and the evaporator fan, located behind rear panel in freezer, should be running too....
Chosen Solution @ladytech I have the same issue. I have noticed that after unplugging and plugging back in, the temp display has changed significantly. Like before unplugging it says -5 freezer 55 fridge and then after unplug/replug it will say -1 freezer 59 fridge. Too short a time for temp to change that much. @ssluter if the sensor located on the evaporator coil was incased in ice, it should be replace....
Chosen Solution I recently got my new phone and the fingerprint sensor was scratched to the point it was a hit or miss ( sometimes it work sometimes not). I look up how to fix and said use toothpaste. It worked but the toothpaste got stuck under the fingerprint scanner and i can’t get it out. Also I personally don’t want to risk taking it apart i don’t have a protection plan or anything so yeah....
Chosen Solution I need a Torx TR10 screwdriver, but I have something call a TT10x7 by Stanley. Are these the same thing? It appears to be the same shape complete with hole in the middle (I’ve attached some screenshots) but wanted to check first. I also have a TT25x100, would this be the same thing as a Torx TR25? @sironfoot TT stands for Tamper Torx (seems to be a Stanley thing) and will have a hole in the center to remove tamper resistant screws ;-)....
Chosen Solution The disc drive itself works fine, tested in other consoles and moved the circuit board to other disc drives.. the issue is that the circuit board makes it so it doesn’t accept discs. All the connections are snugly fitted so it can’t be that. Is there anything I can do? If I manually insert it, it won’t eject either. The problem is that there is an ear on each side of that ribbon cable and when it is not removed correctly it will tear off inside the connector....
Chosen Solution I have an Craftsman LT1000. The steering wheel will for some reason turn 360 degrees. Someone put it on ramps yesterday so I could view it. They had no idea how to repair it. There is a piece “missing on the left side. I wish I would have taken a picture but didn’t think about it at the time. After calling around I have been told it could be four different things....

Chosen Solution It’s almkst like it isn’t loading the OS. I tried a hard reset and the backlight powered off like normal, but still nothing but the backlight from the LCD. Anyone have any ideas? Plug the phone into an computer and open up iTunes or use 3UTools, most likely it is getting stuck in recovery mode (DFU mode with black screen). If that is the case then there is most likely a hardware issue on the phone....
Chosen Solution So I originally was replacing my Wifi antenna strip, which required me to remove the logic board. When I went to reinstall everything, after attaching all of the connectors properly, my Touch ID sensor stopped working. The home button itself still works but the fingerprint scanner doesn’t let me turn it on or even use it. Read up and replaced my home button flex cable (came with the whole metal backing, heatstrip, etc)…....
Chosen Solution My replacement for iphone 3gs glass screen arrived but it looks different from the tutorial. The replacement glass screen doesn’t have a wire like it shows on the tutorial. Should i send it back or try and use the old one from the broken screen @sabiniano that is correct. what you purchased is strictly the front glass.
