Chosen Solution When starting up, whole machine, and display, shuts down within several seconds to a few minutes. Sounds like a power supply, but notes I find about various EMC numbers don’t include mine – EMC # 2056. Any hints to identify any other cause than power supply? Chosen Solution Okay heroes, I am stumped. My shop had an iPad Mini 3 (A1600 - Wifi/Cellular) come in after a botched self-repair. I have done a visual inspection and talked extensively with the customer: They were trying to repair a cracked digi and cut through the home button flex. Thankfully at that point they stopped without opening the iPad the rest of the way, so as far as I can tell the cracked digi and fubar’d fingerprint scanner are the extent of the damage....

Chosen Solution (1998 Chevy k1500 z71 5.7L) My trucks brake lights stay on. Replaced the brake light switch under the steering column and the brake light relay under the hood. The relay itself is hot under the hood but I imagine that’s due to the lights constantly staying on. If I remove the relay the lights will shut off and when I put it back on they stay off until I start the truck and hit the brakes then they stay lit up....

Chosen Solution Replaced the unit and covered any bare wire with tape- tape melted and fused- JohnOrefice, if the relay is overheating, replacing it is all you can do. Make sure the replacement relay is of the required amps. I’ve heard that Viking has had some issues with their relays. If the new one overheats again, you might want to call Viking on this issue. Always check the connections of other components, elements, thermostats, sensors, etc for any signs of overheating or loose connections....

Chosen Solution A customer brought in a dead iPhone 6. I replaced the battery and it worked for some time. Then it went black again, and now that battery is dead. Did it two more times and all of the new batteries I put in seem to fry out. No water damage apparent. Probably charging IC. A common symptom is when the phone refuses to charge a flat battery. Are you sure those batteries are fried?...

Chosen Solution I am attempting to help a relative reset there Apple ID password to give away there old phone and she does not remember the password but it always attempts to send the password reset code via email which is useless without having the ability to log into the email (it is an @icloud email) so we are stuck. Chosen Solution Just received the replacement kit for my iPhone 6s battery so I opened the iPhone and I realised that I just ripped apart this thin plastic layer on the backside of the screen. There is some kind of oily stuff underneath that layer. It looks like one end of that black layer sticked to the battery adhesive strips I installed the last time I replaced the battery; pulling it apart while I separated the screen....

Chosen Solution Samsung UN46ES6150FXZA, date of manufacture April 2012, will not power on. Standby LED double flashes 5 times. Found lots of stories about this problem and studied them. My TV has Power Board: PD 46A1-CSM, BN44-00502A, 2012.01.04, Rev. 1.1. Capacitors looked OK. Checked diodes with Fluke DMM. Found shorted diode DQ851 (near connector and S/N label). Power cord near S/N label goes to LED array. Didn’t open the LED panel yet....

Chosen Solution So I took apart my laptop to clean it etc, I was putting the screen back on it’s frame, and I was screwing in the side screws and I guess I might have screwed one in too tight and then black light just went out, if I look closely I can still see my screen so it’s workinh, the back light is just gone. I was going to turn the screen into a second monitor using a controller board and I was wondering if it would work with that or if the back light would still be out....

Currently right now, my phone will only ask for my password if i lock the phone for over 1 minute. But if i lock my phone for 20-30 sec., and need to use it again, it will not ask for my password and u can access my phone right away....

Chosen Solution Okay, let’s start with what happened… I was normally using my laptop for watching my favorite shows, when I accidentally dropped a samsung phone charger (about 1 ft high up) on it around the spacebar, and the screen flashed gray and white. I forcefully unplugged the laptop, and of course, the blinking stopped. I turned it on afterwards, now the screen is just black, but everything else seems to work just fine....
