Chosen Solution Hello All My macbook pro 2006 was running way too hot. I followed the ifixit guides to open the laptop, to find huge amount of dust (dust balls!) covering the motherboard, and the exhaust fins of the fan. I did not disassamble the heat sink, but removed board, fans and superdrive. I dusted with parts with a small brush. When I started up the machine, i could hear the superdrive starting up, and the fans revving up....

Chosen Solution I’ve got a river water damaged iPhone 6s. I took it apart and it wasn’t too wet inside. Nevertheless I cleaned up with Isopropyl Alcohol and haven’t seen many areas with any sort of water residue. I put alcohol on the motherboard and left it to dry unplugged for a few days. • I replaced the screen because the digitizer was dead. Now it functions fine. • I plugged the phone in and battery is now 100% staying charged • The volume buttons don’t test well but I have been able to increase and decrease volume • The headphone jack works • The external speaker plays Siri voice but not iTunes music • I feel like the phone is getting hot depending on activity type such as when I Restore it....

Chosen Solution the Normal cycle begins fine, but am seeing “SUD” on the (time remaining) screen during the wash … please note I am using the same Tide Pods detergent as always. Chosen Solution I have iPhone 7 32 gb model and 128gb iPhone 7 but it’s broken. I wanted to change the 128gb motherboard to 32gb model is it possible do that. If it’s possible please help me with that? Sure, you can swap logic boards. Just keep in mind that you won’t regain access to the data on the 128GB board unless you have it repaired.

Chosen Solution The charge port in my tablet came out when I unplugged my charger, I see have the charge port an tried to put it back in but it still won’t work. It worked until the battery ran down. It won’t charge at all now. Gina Salyer, The charge port for your device is solder onto the mother board and will have to be resoldered to the board or replaced....

If your LCD display is turning itself off due to aging capacitors, an easy work around is to turn the brightness down!...

Chosen Solution From time to time my toshiba tv doesn’t show the image, can see images with a flashlight. I unplug it and touch the cable tv plug, then back on power and it works. Is my motherboard broken? I’ve checked the voltage sent to the backlight and it wasn’t ok, thus decided to buy the power panel https://www.piese-servicelcd.ro/www-pies… hopefully will fix the problem when I’ve put the tv back on the wall, surprise!...

Chosen Solution I recently ripped the PSU connector of the motherboard. I know this’ll have to be soldered back on but since the pads have been ripped up also, what do I need to do before soldering it back? Scrape the vias until you see copper. Where the bottom 2 arrows point. The other pad is there and the 1 with no via is probably ground so can be jumped from the ground side of the capacitor....

Chosen Solution I have a Feb 2011 15" MacBook Pro Glossy (no high-res) display. I’d like to swap the glossy display and replace it with an antiglare. If I take a 15" antiglare from a Mid-2009 15" - MB986LL/A MacBook Pro, and swap it with my 2011, will it work? Does Apple use the same wiring/cables? Also, if not, will a 2010 display work on a 2011 MBP? And will I have to install any additional drivers or color profiles to make it work?...

Chosen Solution Hi, I have a new IFIXIT battery and a used logic board in my mid 2012, 15" MacBook Pro, 2.3 GHz, i7. My initial problem was the system was not turning on at all. Replacing the battery didn’t fix it so I put in a used logic board. Immediately the system powered on and I thought all was fine. Now it will randomly shut down to re-boot or when asleep won’t wake back up without first going through a sort of booting process....

Chosen Solution I replaced with a battery ordered here. Had trouble with it not charging at first. did a PRAM and SMC reset and it was working. Now am having same problem again with the addition issue that it won’t even run off the power adapter. Power adapter is green but computer will not turn on. Sometimes it will start but then just shuts off This is usually caused by liquid damage, you can either take the board out and inspect it carefully under a microscope to look for signs of corrosion (white marks / rust / burn marks) if you have one or take it to a reputable repair shop that does MacBook board repairs....

Chosen Solution My girlfriend found her iPad on the Floor with the bottom right hand corner bent. I would say the bend is significant. The display has separated near the middle of the right side. I have googled for replacement back covers but I have come up empty. Does anyone know where I could get a back cover? Is there any difference to the iPad 5 back cover? You should post a picture of the damaged corner....

Chosen Solution Hi I replaced my screen and battery after water damage (moving over my old Touch ID/home button to new screen) - phone appeared dead. I then removed the home button ribbon cable connector from the board (top right of the phone where the front camera ribbon cable etc connects) and noticed the screen fire up. Phone appears to function fine (using home button accessibility on screen without ribbon cable connected) Could the home button be damaged and causing a short circuit?...

Chosen Solution I attempted a diy repair on my iPhone 8 Plus. I am on a sprint flex lease and I was wondering what could be done to fix my phone. I did a screen replacement and the bottom left of the screen is darker than the rest of the screen. I bought a second replacement screen and tried it and it still is dark in the same spot. Chosen Solution Coolpix S6500 is charged. Lens moves in and out, but the screen remains dark You hear it taking pictures, but no images Hi, Can you view the menu screens OK? If so or even if not take a picture (I realize that you cannot “see” the picture in the LCD screen) and then download it to a computer and see if the image is OK. If the picture is not OK but you can see the menu screen OK you most probably have a faulty CCD sensor....

Chosen Solution I hope you have advise on my following issue. I have a Macbook Air mid 2012 out of garantee. I use it with bootcamp to either run it in Win 7 or Mavericks. On both OS the screen will start to flicker randomely. More on Mavericks then on Win 7. Also it did happen with previous versions of OS X. The lower I set the resolution the less issues I get, but still they do occur....

Chosen Solution My phone fell inside the toilet but was able to switch in on and off but the screen doesnot slide. have put the phone inside 2.5 kg rice to release the water inside the phone. I switch on the phone after 12 hours and it was working and alowing me to slide, the moment i switched it on i couldnt slide the phone anymore. I need your assistence....
