Chosen Solution MacBook completely bricked from a OS update. No power. No signs of life. I was prompted to run a company OS update (formerly on Catalina). Not sure if it tried to update to Big Sur or Monterey.On the first restart, it indicated that I needed to boot up from startup disk.Boots up, but asks for another restart for installation to complete.I initiate 2nd restart, the MacBook never comes back on....

Chosen Solution In the last few days I’ve been getting a weird issue, my Mac shutdown when its on battery and it will only boot up back with charger plugged in, after it boots up it shows 0 precent battery as if all the power in the battery got drained. I have a low cycle count of 354 and a battery condition of normal, and the test passed with no problems....

Chosen Solution How do I replace the fuel pump on my 07 Ford Focus? Ive notice lots of people talk of cutting through the interior to reach the pump. Is that necessary? If I get the fuel pump replaced, should I also replace the fuel filters even if they are pretty new? Ive heard of a lot of people who think its easier to cut a hole in the floor around the wiring harness but the proper way to fix it and the safest is to lower the tank to the ground by removing the straps and pulling it out from under the car....

Chosen Solution ipad mini 4 screen broke but the LCD is fine. I thought i just had to buy the screen and replace it but i just noticed that i have to replace/apply the lcd to the new screen? or am i wrong. Im trying to find videos to replace it but i dont seem to find any.. any help? On the iPad mini 4, the Digitizer and LCD are fused together so they must be replaced as a single unit....

Chosen Solution I replaced the swollen OEM battery in my MBP 2012 with one from ifixit. However, since doing so, the few times I’ve had to use it away from a power source, the battery percentage drops immediately from 100% to 94% and then falls quickly until the MBP goes into hibernation at around 40% - I might get slightly over 2 hours use out of it. Chosen Solution Replaced my iPhone 6s screen with Ifixit assembly. Now 3D Touch is very inconsistent. Tried the light setting in accessibility but that makes it activate accidentally. At times it works fine but mostly I have to press very hard to activate. Issue isn’t tied to a particular screen region. Even as I type this with the sensitivity on medium setting 3D Touch occasionally activates I’m the keyboard. Do I have a bad part?...

Chosen Solution replaced my iPhone 5 screen and the touch screen isn’t working properly, all parts work but sometimes it thinks I’m still pressing down, pressing in a different place or doesn’t swipe properly Re-install your old screen (assuming it was cracked but functional). If the old one works, then you likely have a bad replacement screen. Its a common issue for iPhone OEM replacement screens to have touch faults similar to this....

Chosen Solution I’ve got a bunch of iPhone 6S’s that I have been replacing the batteries in. Some, they work absolutely flawlessly and behave exactly as you’d expect. Some are working when I initially install them into the phone to check they are working properly before sticking the pull tabs onto the battery. Once I’ve stuck the pull tabs on and reinstall the battery, it takes slightly longer than usual when holding down the power button for the phone to boot, and once it does it sits at 1% for a few seconds then jumps around....

Chosen Solution You know what the problem is. El Cheapo replacement battery. (It probably only weighs half of what it should). The fix is to use a quality battery replacement. I don’t understand why need us to tell you this, you already know! Your Machine uses an A1382 battery. iFixit is out of stock. Try these folks. Is it presenting a password prompt and is it simply not responding when you type your password? Is the mouse working? Is it simply that your keyboard is broken or not properly plugged in? Does the Caps Lock light come on when you press Caps Lock?...

Chosen Solution Does anyone know the value of the resistor (capacitor? I’ve seen it labeled as both but neither post had values) circled in the picture. Caught it with a fingernail and now the battery charging indicator won’t update. I’m reasonably good at smd soldering - just need to order the right part! Chosen Solution There was a power surge from a lightning strike and the tv popped and went off. No power and no standby light. I replaced the power board but still no power or standby. Have tried multiple outlets to make sure that it wasn’t the outlet that was bad. Not sure what else to check. Thanks for any help. @dfd6691 since you already replaced the power supply I suggest you use a multimeter and check the outputs from the PSU to the mainboard....

Chosen Solution I’ve just changed the battery of my P20 pro and at first everything seemed to be working fine. Now I’ve realized that the touchscreen is not working correctly anymore. It either registers no input or multiple inputs or inputs way from the initial touch. Any ideas what may have caused this? Isopropyl maybe (it was only 70%)? Left the backside open for a few hours (mainly because I didn’t have time), seems to have fixed the issue....

Chosen Solution Ive broken my iPhone 6 screen and replaced it with a new one. I definitely kept my original home button in place. Upon turning the phone on Im getting purple around the edging of screen and a very small fine line vertically down the screen. It is purple on black and green on other colours, very very fine line… I thought maybe cable wasn’t in right but I’ve tried all four of the cables going from display to mainboard....

Chosen Solution screen turning on and off when i touch the laptop mostly on the body, everything is working ok even when i touch the screen ,, so i dont think so its about screen.. i tried to open it up but all wires or sockets where in the right place.. so i wonder what it might be.. should i just change the main board? what you think guys? thanks...

Chosen Solution i just swapped my motherboard out into another att 4s and i CAN recieve and send calls, texts, get data, siri works fone, apps work fine, it says 4g but it still says “searching…” constantly, what did i do wrong? Hold the home and power button for 10 seconds to reset the phone. This will solve the issue. i have an iphone 4 that display no service after i unlocked it....

Chosen Solution Hello,I have bought some 2 or 3 batteries for my mid-2010 MacBook Pro in recent years. All of them have swollen after a year or two. They have been cheap Chinese replacements I guess. Would the iFixit battery be any better? Or is my MacBook too old for nowadays’ internet and multimedia and this is what will swell any battery?
