I do the following; dry off as soon as I recognize its wet, place phone in a bag of rice , turn off phone (attempt too). My phone will not turn off its the black screen with the white apple logo and it keeps flashing. what do I do ? With water damage, you have to decontaminate the logic board before doing anything else, otherwise there will be latent issues down the road....

Chosen Solution So my Onkyo tx-nr616 is having some problems, its about 3 years old now and the audio sometimes just doesn’t boot up, when you power on the amp. Ive heard some short circuit sounds before all this trouble started ( you know the sound an input source makes if you short circuit the left and right signal, like putting your finger on the minijack sound if you know what i mean ) Than just rebooted the amp, all is well, next day no sound....
Chosen Solution Spin cycle fills and runs 10-15 seconds and shuts down . 15 minutes later it will start again and do the same thing. The spindrain cycle can take 2 hours to empty tub. Cause 1 Drain Pump Sometimes, small objects or articles of clothing can get caught in the drain pump. To determine if anything is blocking the drain pump, remove the drain pump and check the pump for obstructions....
Chosen Solution Eager to find out if it will be possible to user upgrade the PCIE SSD. From the Apple presentation it appeared the SSD flash chips are soldered! This makes sense as it follows the same design the T2 chip uses in the other systems it is used in: iMac Pro, MacBook Pro 2018, and the new MacBook Air as well. Apple uses raw flash chips in a very different design than what a typical SSD drive uses....

I got out and laughed about it, until about three minutes later I realized my phone was in my pocket, right then panic set in. Chosen Solution I have overhead kitchen lighting that takes 4 -1 inch by 4 foot of these bulbs. I replaced the bulbs but the lights won’t turn back in. Breakers are all good. Any idea why they won’t work ? The last bulb burnt out and was working. I replaced all 4 and they won’t turn on. Help @mizart2u , Steve W, ensure you installed the correct bulbs for the fixture if indeed T8 fixture, T8 bulbs should be used....

The first thing you should do is turn off the lights and try projecting the image on a white wall. If the image still appears to be dark, there are a couple possible problems. Chosen Solution Hello I was offered the above described MBP at a fair price with the hint, it may be defect / broken. The current owner told me, that a SSD was inserted and after a while the MBP does not boot any longer - it is just showing blinking question mark. I advised to hold down option after powering up the MBP and he told me, then 3 beeps can be heard and nothing happens ( more or less )....
Chosen Solution Apple told me my logic board had water damage, so I decided to replace it myself. After full replacement, when I press power, my adapter goes from amber to green and then back again. Even when I tried to jump start it on from the logic board it does the same thing. Is replacing the top case my next step? I am not sure yet if your problem is the upper case yet....

It’s pretty much an entry level machine. Plus there are known issues with both the 13" & 15" MBP GPU. It took a class action law suit for Apple to take care of the 15 & 17" models. https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro… The suit did not cover the 13" models and I feel it should have as I’ve seen far to many with the same problem....

Sadly, this is such a new system I don’t think you’ll find the stand available. My quick search online didn’t show any available. I would recommend you visit an Apple Store or an authorized Apple service center to see if you can get it covered under warranty or at least let them order the part for you....

Anyways, just followed the posted guide on replacing the heatsink (specifically the paste) to see if that solved some performance issues I thought might be related to overheating. Things appear to have gone well, no ‘red flag’ moments that I’m aware of (not super experienced so I won’t say anything definitively). However, now it won’t power on....
Chosen Solution so I broke my Iphone screen over the summer and when I broke it the frame on the phone cracked. I got the screen replaced and was told it likely could crack again, well about 8 months later it did, I was given a broken 5s but with a good frame, but different carrier. I switched the board from my phone to the new frame, but the ribbon cable to controlling the lock, volume, and mute button would not plug in, if you held pressure on it the buttons would work but once i removed my finger it would unplug....
Chosen Solution I’m in the possession of an iPod 4th Gen that has a broken power button and is completely passcode disabled. Is there any possible way to restore it? You can not use itunes as it will complain about the passcode and I cant manually put it in DFU mode as the power button is broken. Programs such as Tiny Umbrella and Rec Boot will not recognise the device since it is passcode disabled?...
Chosen Solution I’m having a lot of trouble seating the screen connector. I’ve ruined a connector before by forcing it. What’s the trick? You just have to be patient and keep trying until you will feel a click as it is seating down into the connection, as u said its possible to ruin a connection if your not patient
