Chosen Solution Hi there, My 5s started randomly switching off a few months ago (would do so even on 99% battery), but would usually turn on again in a few minutes, and the problem went away. But last week it started randomly switching off again, then started to switch off whenever it was disconnected from power. Now it won’t even turn on when plugged in. At first I thought it could be a battery issue, but the fact that it doesn’t work when plugged in makes me this the issue lies elsewhere....

Chosen Solution The side brush isn’t working anymore. I’ve replaced the entire side brush unit and it will do a .25 revolution once it starts cleaning then the side brush will not work. I’ve striped it down and cleaned everything that could be cleaned. I am At a loss here no idea what’s up and I-robot told me to buy a new one when I called the help line. @bobo006, Ben, If you have already replaced the side brush motor and still not working, check the wires and connector for being, loose/damaged/corroded/check the connector with DVOM to ensure power is getting to the motor and make necessary repairs if defect found....

Chosen Solution Hi my Kenwood mixer will only work at the fasted setting on the dial Update (12/18/2020) On the fastest setting on the dial @freddifrog this is most likely caused by a failed spark suppression capacitor for the governor. IF it fails your mixer will only work at full speed. Check for it under the cover on the bottom of the motor. You’d be looking for a small, round, aluminum can looking part....

Chosen Solution Hi to everyone. I did this upgrade with the ssd blade but the iMac won’t turn on. The first green light turn on, but when I press Power button, this light goes off and on again and never start the computer. I had installed two differents ssds and neither works. I think the problem isn’t the ssd. Any idea? Thanks! Your diagnostic LED is saying it’s the power supply....

Chosen Solution Hello, My left tail light does not work. Bulb works fine. Break works fine. Horn works fine. I am not sure why just the tail light is not working. Mazda 3 2008. Qossay Takroori did you make sure that the bulb is the right bulb? The contacts are different on different bulbs. If the bulb is right, check the contacts with a mutlimeter and see if you have power on that....

Hi, It appears that the problem might be caused by moisture on the control board, which can cause bad connections etc. However, according to the User guide there is a 15 year guarantee on the product. Therefore I recommend that you verify that it is still within the guarantee period (ensure that you have the proof of purchase) and then consult the guarantee statement in the User guide as to what you have to do to make a claim for a guarantee repair or replacement....

Chosen Solution I am having issues with my Macbook pro charging. I just sent it to Apple to have the battery replaced. They just shipped it back telling me that the battery was replaced and that there are no other issues with the device. Unfortunately, that is not the case. I have tried charging it with different chargers and wall outlets. I have gone through and reset the Macbook according to Apple and that didn’t help....

Chosen Solution Hello, I have an iPhone 7 that that turns on and vibrates when i charge it but the screen doesn’t show anything. I have tried replacing the screen (with both apple and 3rd-party parts) and have had no luck. There is no sign of water damage, and the phone is slightly bent. Any advice on how to get the screen to work? Besides trying screen replacements there’s not much you can do on a DIY basis to troubleshoot a no image or no backlight issue, they’re both pointing to hardware issues needing a board repair by a reputable microsolderer....

Chosen Solution This is a pretty old phone, a samsung slide phone from 2008 or so, but it’s worked beautifully for me. Now the screen fills with white light as soon as the phone comes on. It still receives texts (which I can’t read) and I can place calls by dialing the numbers, but since I can’t see anything I can’t access my contacts. I don’t see a sim card when I open the back, but possibly there is one inside the base of the phone, which could be opened with a tiny screwdriver....

Chosen Solution Has anyone successfully repaired a Time Capsule that’s overheating all the time? The yellow light is always flashing and when I pull up AirPort Utility it says “this device may be overheating.” The device does feel warm to the touch (not hot). I’ve called Apple and they say they can’t fix it and won’t replace it since it’s not under warranty any longer. I’m considering cracking it open to see if cleaning out dust and whatnot might improve air circulation and fix the problem, but I’m curious if anyone else has done this before?...

Chosen Solution It was during a normal usage and no brute force/abuse was applied. Just took it off my head. I guess it was 3 degrees Celsius outside and this is just plastics, so maybe that’s why it broke. Anyway, could you please offer some advice on how best to repair these. Thank you. Well, one metal plate, four screws and a little bit of silicon later they are as good as new =)...

Chosen Solution The battery was definitely dying but im fairly sure ive scraped off the 4 capacitors on top of the battery connector(at least 1). So now for my question: are any of these parts critical, and if so can i use small copper wire or will i need to bring it to a repair store to have the capacitors re-soldered? Also i did this by looking at a very old mastermind child’s microscope so i might just be wrong…...

I absolutely hate the force touch trackpad, even when disabled it’s stiff and doesn’t click. Thank You Sorry no ;-{ The interface and mountings are different. Sadly, Apple did a switch-a-roo on us! They changed from a surface connector to an edge so you can’t use the newer 2014 Mac Mini board. Apple’s change was across the board so you are out of luck finding an Apple spare as Apple never offered it....

Chosen Solution There is this day I was installing the Logos software, since I have a slow internet connection, I left the computer downloading the software the whole night. In the morning, I found the Logos was completely installed. However, the computer started running very slow. When you click anything, it will take 15 to 20 seconds and at a time more than that to open. I upgraded to Yosemite, and it still does the same thing....

What route does the cable take from the spring on the mower deck to the engage lever under the steering wheel? @houseofdavid , David , You may have to remove the gas tank if in the way, cable loops behind deck, then gets secured in a wire hanger or if missing, tie strap(use a couple) as you feed cable along, to inside frame rail/body above deck feeding it up to the control lever through slot/hole/opening....

Chosen Solution We recently replaced the filter on our Samsung french door refrigerator and the water dispenser stopped working. However it will work without a filter. We tried putting the older filter back in and it still will not work. Any ideas? After replacing the water filter then you must flush the air out of the lines. Hold a glass under dispenser until the water starts flowing. This could take several minutes....
