Chosen Solution I was curious about the process of replacing the screen of my iPhone, so I took off the screen and started practicing. After taking off the screen, I then went on to disconnect the flat cables that connected to the front panel WITHOUT DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY. I took off the front panel and them connected it again. When I turned on the phone, it had lines on the lcd display and half of the touchscreen didn’t work....
Chosen Solution I replaced the screen and digitizer and the screen comes on but touch doesn’t work. I’ve checked all connections twice. What could it be? jeyson, if you are sure that all your connections are properly seated, I would contact the vendor and replace the assembly once more. Sadly enough, it is not uncommon to receive a bad digitizer. Of course, you always want to double check your work, check to make sure that there are no bend or broken pins on the connector....
Chosen Solution My sd device on my ASUS K55N laptop doesn’t seem to be working. I insert an sd 32gb chip into the slot but nothing happens. Actually I’ve tried a second chip and it to would not load. I’ve read that uninstalling and reinstalling ‘its’ driver might solve my problem. (1) where do i find the sd driver to uninstall and (2)where do I find a driver to reinstall. Thanks...

Is the one for the non-server mini what I need? Regards, John A server version of the Mac Mini already has all the necessary cables, as well as two drives. If you’re asking if you need to purchase another hard drive, the answer is no, unless you want to upgrade the HDD already there....
Chosen Solution Here is a weird one… I have a faulty display on my iMac so I was thinking about hooking it up to a secondary display and make use of it. When I changed the hardrive to an ssd, I tried only using a secondary display just for testing and the computer was slow as a snail! I tried restarting it and i installed the macfans app to get the fan to work properly but nothing seemed to help....
Chosen Solution The stirrup that holds the ear cup and attaches it to the swivel on the headband is broken. I cannot find a repairpart anywhere. Short of casting a mould and making one myself whats to be done? Rant: I recieved these as a gift. Chosen Solution I’ve tried recovery mode, dfu mode. But after the reset it still says searching. The clock was wrong so I put the correct time on it by going to iTunes and setting the time on my computer. But that was also not the solution. I’m stuck in activation screen so I can’t reset network settings. Have you tried connecting it to wifi? Does the device have an IMEI? If you press the “i” at the activation screen, do you see the imei of the device there?...
Chosen Solution Is there any chance to get surface 2 teardown and show what components can be upgraded and upgrade process.. ie replace default disk drive with higher capacity and so on? @prle it is pretty much impossible for the iFixit team to do a teardown of every device. I would imagine that there really is no time or resources to teardown devices other than the ones they have. Now you know you can always make one yourself https://www....
Chosen Solution I have only had this phone for two months, it’s battery was at 8% when it turned off. When I went to charge it the battery symbol appeared, but then after a while I noticed it actually hadn’t turned on. I’ve tried the home/lock button reboot with charger and with out, but nothing. iTunes on my lap top doesn’t recognise it and yes I have tried different chargers, but still nothing....
Chosen Solution 2002 nissan xterra, new compressor, new thermal control amplifier. The compressor works but the clutch wont engage unless hard wired to battery or i squeeze the magnet in the relay. I tryed switching the horn relay to see if it was out and it didnt work. Any help please i have a 10 month old baby to drive around in this texas heat! @texasheat as @jimfixer already suggested, one of the main causes for that can be a low level refrigerant....

Chosen Solution I’ve replaced my iPhone 6s plus front camera flex cable, Everything works again apart from the front microphone. When I make a video with the front camera, I sometimes hear very low audio, and sometimes hear the audio correctly, and, when I try to configure Hey siri the “audio wave” moves only slightly meaning that Hey Siri doesn’t recognize my voice, instead, when I press the home button to talk to Siri, the microphone works only for the first 5 seconds, after that Siri stops listening....
Chosen Solution I have dirt and dust stuck in the holes inside the mesh on the front of my speaker. Is there a way I can clean it without damaging the speaker? More simply, try cleaning the dust/dirt using a can of compressed air. After cleaning, I would rub the surface with a laundry dryer sheet (like bounce). What this does is reduce any static that is attracting the dust/dirt. You may need to clean once again after doing so with compressed air....

Use this guide Dell Inspiron 6000 Screen Replacement to get to those as well as your screen. Check for any shavings on the wires, loose connections etc. Let us know what you find. Chosen Solution I bought a psp 1000 on ebay, broken screen. I replaced the screen and shell. after doing this bought a dummy battery and charger. everything works great with just the battery, the problem is when I plug the ac adapter into any outlet it turns right off and does charge, when I try to turn it back on the green light comes on for a sec and then turns off, if I unplug it, works fine....

Hi @zain1 According to the specifications it uses DDR3L 1600 not DDR3 1600 memory. (see p.42 of the owner manual linked below). DDR3L is low voltage ram (1.35V) and DDR3 is a higher voltage ram (1.5V). If the system is designed for DDR3L it might work if DDR3 is installed but it might not also....

Took door panel off, but you can’t get the check strap out without taking the entire window assembly out, it appears to me. am I missing something on replaceing, and what is the proper procedure to removing the window etc. need some advice on this. thanks Philip @yadkin2002, Philip, I do not believe/not positive the entire window should have to come out to change the door strap, you should have to remove the pin and bolts and may have to turn(manipulate) the old strap to remove from door cavity or possibly have to loosen front window guide/track....
