Chosen Solution Screen of phone was replaced to aftermarket. Everything is working fine except screen is not going black when you make call. Any ideas? Replaced flex with sensors and its working right now. The proximity sensor that’s part of the front-facing camera and microphone flex is not positioned correctly in it’s slot or the slot itself is not clear enough for it to detect your face. You can test by placing your finger over the top of the phone screen across the microphone and front camera, it should turn off and back on as you over this area, you might find that you have to hold your hand directly on the glass to make it happen, this would tell you the sensor works but its not seated correct so its not sensitive enough to see your cheek while on a call....

When I plugged it in it made the sound indicating that it was receiving a charge. The battery icon also showed it was receiving a charge. However, the charge percentage never went up. That can be caused by debris/obstruction (paper jam, bent/damaged rails, out of place purge assembly/wiper, or dirty/dislocated encoder strip) to a bad sensor or control board, faulty carriage drive motor/gear/belt, bad printhead/carriage pcb. also check the ink cartridge holder and make sure it is properly seated....

Chosen Solution Hi, while removing the battery connector I knocked a resistor/capacitor/inductor off the logic board. Please see picture. What type of specialist should I go to to reattach this? Does it have polarity? What is it? It is a capacitor on the battery line. There is polarity on the board but not the capacitor so it doesn’t matter which way it is placed. I think your Mac should still work without it but I would have it resoldered as it is one of the only two capacitors on that line....
