Chosen Solution I replaced a screen for Iphone 5. Now the screen is black and I can only see some light around the edges.. See images here: http://w18.nu/1.png I also tried with another screen and another battery.. I read alot about it, and maybe its the backlight? But if it was, would there still be the light around the edges? Anyone know a fix for this? :) This is very weird, I’ve never seen a screen display like that before....

Chosen Solution I swapped out the screen and tested all ok, however when i put it all back together the sim card is not deteced. Strangley i took the back cover off and tried the card again, this time is is recognised, i’ve tested on a number of occassions and it look like whenever the back cover goes on the sim card cannot be detected, anyone have a clue what’s going on here?...

Chosen Solution My question is as following; Is it possible to reformat the new SSD (NVMe Flash) from the space gray iMac Pro 2017 model A1862 (EMC 3144) externally via an adaptor like - [linked product missing or disabled: IF107-108-1] I’ve wiped the drive and it’s pulled out. But, I’d like to install the OS independently from the iMac since it’s out of action at the moment. With any other computer, it’s very much possible to pull out the drive and use it as an external case or adapter....

Chosen Solution I need to know the steps I follow to open up my laptop to get to the motherboard and than the steps needed to replace the thermal paste between the CPU and The Heat sink.. I have a Acer Aspire Model 5742 laptop. Hi help4680, I found this video here. The separation of the heat sink from the CPU starts around minute 7. I hope this helps. Steffen

Chosen Solution Aloha All, My friend has a Apple PowerBook G3 400. The powerbook laptop battery is dead and will not charge. I have removed the battery and just plugged in the AC Adapter. The system will still not start up. Could it be that I will need to get a replacement battery to get the system to boot? Chosen Solution Replaced A board and P board. Still 14 blinks. When the SC board is unplugged it gives 7 blinks. Could the SC board be the problem? Also, I goofed on the install of one of the P Boards and plugged the P board to A board cable in while the power supply was plugged in and shorted some things out. After that I replaced both boards again and the cable between them....

Chosen Solution Hello, I purchased and installed a new Full Assembly fix kit for my wife’s iPhone 5s. It powered up well and install was a cinch but there are dark bands along the top of the screen that I’m assuming are related to the backlight. Any ideas? Do I have a connection that wasn’t made well or is it possible the assembly kit was a lemon? I have a picture of the banding that I will try to upload (not so sure I can make it work)....

Chosen Solution The colored buttons on my controller are not working. I’ve tried it with the console nothing’s worked. I plan to open it up and take a look soon, but does anybody know what to expect? After I’ve set up, I want to reset the PRAM and I let go of the chime sound 1 times. Start up and load the status bar icon and stop and restart. If I run this 2 times PRAM and I hear the chime twice, the Apple logo does not start....

Chosen Solution I bought a phone from a friend and he didn’t know how to reset it. Could you help ,e out without your friends icloud account and password, there is no REASONABLE way to remove the account to make the device usable again. If you still have contact with that friend, you should ask them to remove it.

Chosen Solution Just replaced the screen in my iPhone 4 and while testing, I noticed that there is no touch sensitivity on the top keyboard row (QWER..). It seems like it is a straight line horizontally without touch. Otherwise everything seems to work fine. What kind of issue would this be? Chosen Solution I installed a new Battery into my iPhone 6 about a week ago. Now, usually this wouldn’t bother me, but the battery reading software when I first installed it said it had 1750 of 1810. Which is not much of a difference but still a fluctuation for a battery. Now, 14 cycles later it is reporting that it can only handle 1650 of 1810. And I will unplug the phone and plug it back in and it maybe will go to around 1670 and sometimes lower to around 1610....

My client came to me with out a home button so I cannot test the original. Is the new button defective or is the software glitching out because it hasn’t had a home button in a while. I would guess the home button to be the defective part....
