Chosen Solution My tablet only had a broken screen, so I just replaced it with a new one, when I turned it off I didn’t wait until completely off before connecting new screen and tablet started to behave in a weird way: stripes, buzz etc, so I connected back old screen and then the new one but the screen stayed black but illuminated, nothing worked to turn it on or off so I unplugged the battery and now its completely dead, black screen, no response… Help!...

Chosen Solution does anyone know way or how I can fix it. My own MacBook is doing something similar; it will eject but not read. Until I get around to fixing it, I’m using an external optical drive. If you have an external drive you can boot to, see if you have the same problem running off the other system. If you don’t have an external drive, but have access to another Mac with Firewire, and if your Mac has Firewire (you don’t say which model you have), you can boot up your Mac in Target mode (hold down T while booting; you’ll get an orange Firewire icon bouncing around the screen), turn off the second Mac, connect the two with a Firewire cable, and boot the other Mac while holding down the Option key to get into the Boot Manager, where you can choose to boot to your own Mac’s system....

Chosen Solution I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner II Dishwasher Model DU1101XTP83. I washed a load of dishes and everything seemed to work fine. When I went to unload the dishes, the green light above the “Normal” touch pad was blinking but the dishes were clean, no standing water in the bottom. I’ve read thru several of the other posts on this topic but none seem to be the same issue....

Chosen Solution There’s a color violet appearing inside the screen its like a violet ink and it scatters slowly all over the screen. Update (12/26/2017) Maybe the internal part of the screen \ LCD has been smashed… Hi, The LCD screen is faulty and needs to be replaced. Chosen Solution The ANALOG dial knob timer on my old very compact Montgomery Ward microwave is no longer shutting off. I don’t mind buying a new microwave, except that they ALL are designed as low and wide. I don’t have enough counter space for any of them. Mine is tall and narrow. I’ve not found any source for parts, so wonder if anyone has ideas on how to fix the timer…assuming I can remove other parts in the way....

Chosen Solution Trying to fix up a PS4 I got which doesn’t turn on (yes I knew this beforehand. Having fun lately TRYING to fix consoles) no power, no beeping. I did get a replacement power supply, but same thing. Took the bottom lid off and cleaned in the fan. Still nothing. Is there more to clean that can work (a guide anywhere if so??) I’ve tried putting a disc in it....

Chosen Solution The phone fall in water @abujabir waiting for it to dry will leave it to corrode and die a slow death. If you are thinking about placing it in Rice or equivalent, forget it. Rice does not do anything. You will have to treat this like any other device that was submerged. I strongly recommend that you clean it. Disassemble it and clean it properly using this guide. It was written for an Apple iPhone 3G but all the points still apply to your phone as well....

Chosen Solution I have an unrepairable liquid spilled logic board in my Early 2015 2.7 GHz MacBook Pro. Can I replace the logic board with one from a 2.9 GHz model or are there physical differences between the two? Yes it’s fine, as long as it is a 2015 13” (820-4924) board like the original.

Chosen Solution I have 2 iPad2s that I’m replacing the LCD and digitizer. One repair went fine but the other has an issue where the LCD won’t get any power from the iPad. I plugged the iPad into iTunes and did a restore but there was no change (it does get power). I tried the LCD and the LCD flex cable in the other iPad2 to make sure they aren’t the issue....

Chosen Solution I replaced the battery in my iphone 3gs. Everything appears to work except the camera. I can go into the app but the shutter won’t open and the button to take photos does not respond. Any help for this? i’d look at your repair again and take a close look at your camera connection. It’s fairly unusual to have damaged your camera-more likely it isn’t connected properly, disconnect and reconnect and see what happens....

Chosen Solution I saw many answer to the frame unglued from glass displays problem, but I cant find a online store where I can buy a quality display to iphones how I will not have this problem. Any suggestion please? iFixit sells screens that should not have this glass separating from plastic screen frame issue. The cause of this is either insufficient glue put between the glass and plastic during the screen assembling / manufacturer process or hot melt glue being used....

I recently found an old ocmputer of mine which is suprisingly high spec for a computer from 2016, and I want to replace the hard drive because after turning it on, there was a hard drive errror which i decided to replace the hard drive, and I don’t know how to replace it. I’ve already taken off the cover, and I’ve got the new hard drive in the brakets, I just can’t find the port to put the hard drive cable in to, can anyone help?...

Chosen Solution My right AirPods Pro is crackling during the smallest of movements or when there’s a spike in audio. I’m convinced something is loose but I don’t know what. Don’t bother, Apple covers it for free regardless of warranty status. The cracking is due to feedback runaway of the ANC, either due to clogged up feedback mic or ruptured speaker diaphragm. Either way it’s a highly difficult repair to DIY....

Chosen Solution My roomba went over a mess my dog had made. Since then it will not start or charge. I have cleaned everything I can. Is this repairable? @woppins48 it is entirely possible that something shorted out. You will have to take it apart further and clean all those parts with some 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. My main focus would be the circuit boards and the battery. Post some image of your parts with your question....

Chosen Solution Hi all, just changed the internal hard disk of my 2007 MacBook Pro 2.2 15" with a Western Digital Scorpio Blue 500GB. I didn’t notice anything on the first day but, the following day, I started hearing the (dreaded?) clicking sound from the hard drive, I have to say that they there’s no lag in responsiveness when the clicks happen and they come more regularly when the laptop is idle....

Chosen Solution My screen has gone black after going past 90° and won’t then come back on, probably an issue with the ribbon cable I would’ve thought, so we ordered the ribbon cable. But looking I can’t seem to find where that goes. this is the one we ordered but not sure if it’s the right one, if it is what do we have to do to fix the machine since most places are just recommending a full screen replacement....

Hi @xtwiand , The screen looks as though it has a crack in it Connect an external monitor to the laptop and check whether it displays OK. If it does then the problem is either the display panel or the video cable in the laptop but I’m betting it’s the panel. Here’s a link to the service manual for the laptop....
