Chosen Solution Three times, I’ve tried to correct the non-ferrous/non-magnetic screw instructions for both the 5 and 5s. iPhone 5s Home Button Replacement Each time, the correction was denied by iFixit staff. Why? It’s obvious to anyone who has fixed a 5 or 5s that the instructions are wrong, and worse, the instructions that are there on the site will damage the device and screw with the magnetometer when reassembled. The non-magnetic screw is longer and in the upper right, not shorter or in the lower left....

Chosen Solution Good morning, picked up another PS4 original (4th or 5th to be exact) to repair and sell. So this isn’t my first rodeo in repairing these. The unit I picked up looks flawless, never even opened all stickers intact, the guy claimed that after 3-4hours the unit shuts off. Got it home, looked quite dusty so I opened it up and blew all the dust out. The owner doesnt know the PIN and curious if I upgrade the SSD (hard Drive) that could be an option? To remove the firmware passcode you will need a programmer or another bios chip with a clean ME.

Chosen Solution Dear all, Replaced my optical drive with a 1TB 2.5" HDD. Have SSD as primary drive. After replacing the optical drive I noticed first that data writing is very slow. Then data access is also very very slow! I cannot stream music from the new HDD on say VLC. An ideas how to improve data throughput from the new HDD to the macbook? Chosen Solution Hi everyone, I have a second hand MacBook Pro in which the little connector coming from the keyboard is snapped in two. I know that in order to replace a faulty power button, the most straightforward thing to do is replace the entire keyboard, but as everything else about the keyboard is fine, I didn’t want to go and spend 50$ just because of the power button. Chosen Solution I’m wanting people to weigh in on installing macOS Sierra on 20" 2007 iMac. I installed a X7900 in it a few years back, but this CPU doesn’t support SSE 4.1 instructions. The T9300 does and should work in this iMac. Same socket and same FSB 800. I’m also upgrading WiFi card to a BCM94360CAX combo card. Using an adapter and U.FL to MHF4 antenna adapters. Does anyone see any problem with this being able to work after the upgrades are in place?...

Chosen Solution Why can’t I scan to my computer? Make sure you have the latest software installed for this printer. Go to HPs web site and look the printer up, then download and install the drivers. Its defiantly be the software problem and you can easily fix it by going to HP`s website then enter the specified model number of your product to get the latest driver and pc software. By installing the latest driver definition this shall hopefully solve your problem....

Chosen Solution So I successfully replaced the lightning port on my son’s iPhone 7+. However, when I put it all back together, the screen wasn’t responding. I thought maybe something was wrong with the screen, so I bought a new one from ifixit. It doesn’t work either. Chosen Solution Hello, i have an iphone 6s waterdamaged that is shorted to ground, it is not a full short, just 8mA when checked with the power supply, and when the phone is on an screen turned off it takes around 250-300 mA .Obviously i cant find the short with heat because it is too small. Do you have any ideas? Thank you! I think you are missing an important concept here…a short is a short but not all shorts have the same outcome....

Chosen Solution My iPhone 6 recently randomly glitched or something. A couple weeks ago, my phone got stripy grayish lines and my phone screen was overlapping. I am very worried because I don’t have enough money to fix anything if it requires a price. I highly doubt a have a warranty because I got the phone from a friend a long time ago. When I turn my brightness up the lines become less visible but it’s still somewhat blurry....

Chosen Solution After a little time of use it’s start to reboot and reboot, I already try everything I belive could help but nothing has changed. Have you tried another battery? Sounds like a bad battery. If it isn’t that then it’s no good for use.

Chosen Solution Hi, I’m building a PC and I was wondering if all I needed to have to make sure I don’t get zapped is using just those anti-static mats, instead of the wrist strap? Is just having the anti-static mat okay or will I need the wrist strap too? Or perhaps ditch the mat and just using the wrist strap would be a better idea? FYI, I am fully aware of the discussion going around on how the equipment just makes it more safer, and the tip on attaching the wrist strap to the fan grill of the power supply, whilst having the power supply attached to a wall outlet (and the power supply switched off)....

Chosen Solution lid wont unlock will not start wash cycle Main Control Board If the washer door won’t unlock the problem might be the main control board. This is not common. Normally the problem is with the lock mechanism. Unplug the machine for 5 minutes to let it reset and then plug it back in and give it a try. unplug for five minutes …if still locked push start button for a few seconds and it should unlock....

Chosen Solution Recently purchased the 10.1 inch Galaxy Tab A (SM-T580) for use with music. Placed it naked on my metal music stand (no case for it yet), and tablet stuck to it like glue. Same thing with paperclips etc. I went to Best Buy and sure enough, the same effect happened on their display model. There seems to be magnetic areas around the perimeter of the casing. Contacted Samsung support and they seem oblivious and want me to send to a Samsung service center (heck, I’ll just return to store if I wanted to)....

Chosen Solution I have red and blue lines in my screan :( what i have to do ? hp 625 Am ina, connect an external monitor to your computer. Should those lines not show, then you have trouble with either your LVDS cable, your wiring or with the LCD itself. If the lines do show on an external monitor, then you are having GPU problems. That would require some logic board repair....

Chosen Solution Hello, I am trying to detach this ribbon cable and pinching the side tabs does not release it. Does anyone recognize this specific type of connection. Is there a trick to it? thanks Ken Of course the solutions is similar to other ribbon cable releases. Flip up the bar located in this photo and then the release tabs on the sides will work as expected.

Chosen Solution My fitbit fell apart so I mailed it back to them to get it replaced. Instead of a replacement they sent me back a fitbit (which I assume is the same one) in a small plastic bag with no instructions at all. The fitbit charged fine and started calculating steps but would not sync to my app. The whole thing was off it, it wasn’t starting over the next day and I still could not get it to sync with my computer....
