Chosen Solution I was working on my switch. I’m not sure if I damaged the LCD or not. When I turn the switch it take a couple minutes the fan spin and nothing pops up beside a light gray dim. I’m not sure if I need to buy a new LCD or not Sounds like and lcd connection issue as the gray screen your referring to is backlight. You have maybe damaged the lcd connector when putting the ribbon back in or it’s not in correctly....
Chosen Solution Can I use a 2.0ghz T7200 Intel processor on this logicboard? Yes, the Intel Core2 Duo Processor T7200 (4M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 667 MHz FSB) is compatible. I’m not sure its worth upgrading here as your system only has a 32bit EFI so it can’t run any OS newer than Lion (10.7.5) Also finding these older CPU’s that are the try type can be tricky! Chosen Solution Cannot turn my tablet on and it will not charge so i cannot turn it on no battery life Samsung have issue if your battery is to week to charge . To fix this all you need to do is disconnect the battery and then reconnect then hook it to your charger and charge it . This guide will help with opening the tablet. Chosen Solution Pls check the image. The blue mark of the capacitor code are the capacitance of and the voltage of the capacitor, but what is the meaning of the red marked code? Is it mandatory to replace the capacitor of same code or any other 330 smd capacitor can be used? The number in red is usually a lot number. Chosen Solution After upgrading by my self memory ram up to 4 gb, all seems to go fine but now every 10 minutes I see some vertical stripes on both the sides of the screen, the mini freezes and I have to turn off the machine. What I did wrong? That should be the correct memory. Can you reinstall the original memory and see if the computer behaves normally. If it does you may have fallen victim to that rarest of problems–faulty new memory....

I’m wondering if I replace its logic-board with brand-new one, would it be unlocked or not?! Depends if the motherboard you get is locked to a network since you’re replacing the phone’s memory components, which in turn hold the data about whether it’s locked or not, then I guess it would work....

Chosen Solution I bought a replacement screen for MacBook Pro and installed it (using the guide on iFixIt). Everything worked fine for the first 4 days. The problem isn’t consistent. If the computer is off for a few minutes the screen will start with no issues. Overtime ( 3-5 minutes) it will develop horizontal lines, ghosting, and then freeze altogether. The screen display in the following videos is mirroring (for reference)....

This is the board… Taking the thing apart was relatively straightforward. But now, while I’m waiting for a replacement T-Con to arrive from China, one aspect of the putting it back together is worrying me. The twin strip cables that go to the LEDs from the connectors (on the bottom edge of the board in the photo) don’t have any connector hardware on the cables themselves, they just go directly into the connectors on the board....
Chosen Solution I have photos set to go onto installed SD card but they appear to also stay in the device memory, using 11M of space. If I delete photos in device memory, will it also delete the same photos on the SD card? If so, how can I avoid this duplication? What you need to do is copy out the photos onto a computer then delete the photos inside the phone....
Chosen Solution As with many here on iFixit.com, have had the occasion to remove a failed battery and replace it with a new one. I am well aware the LiPo batteries can become violent if mishandled, they don’t seem to like being bent, punctured, over charged or over drawn. The question is what procedure should be applied to ensure you are safely storing, transporting and disposing of them? I know there are recycling options in some places, but the battery may still pose a fire or explosion hazard while being stored and/or transported for disposal....

Should I replace them and if yes where can i buy them? Hi Smint, The copper labels should not make a huge difference if you do not replace them. That being said if you do want to just in case you would probably want to buy a whole mid frame assembly with them attached....

I am looking at getting all the parts here on ifixit but I am curious how I am supposed to differentiate the screws in the screw kit (IF268-016-1). Chosen Solution Has anyone ever thought about or completed a custom project to swap out internals with a modern Macbook Air into an old Macbook? I think it’d be a fun project. I would think everything would fit. May need to machine bottom case to get I/O to physically fit. The hinge/connection would be the other challenge. But everything else should fit fine? Plenty of space. It would be fun to show up to a meeting or coffee shop with an old Macbook that is super fast and retina display....
Chosen Solution I went to turn my Wii on and the entire screen is green. I pressed the Wii remote it does the indication that I press the A button and the usual sounds it makes when you’re on the main screen are there but everything is green. What is the best way to tackle this problem ? Everything’s all good now I found out that if you unplug the AV cable from the consulate itself as well as unplug the power cable from the outlet and just let it be for a while in my case I let be for an entire weekend I checked on it this Monday I reconnected everything and sure enough the green screen issue was gone....
