Chosen Solution Samsung UN60JU6500f (UN60JU6500FXZA) flashing red light when powered on. I disconnected to the power supply board from the main board and the backlight turned on. I am not sure how to determine if it is the main board or the t-con board. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated! Edit - I reconnected the power supply board to the main board and disconnected the ribbon cable between the t-con board and the main board and the tv would not light up....

Chosen Solution iPhone 6s plus, I replace a cracked screen by purchasing the aftermarket kit from ifixit. The repair went without a hitch since I was following the disassembly guide. The replacement screen displays the correct colors and is perfect. However, during calls, the screen goes dark as if the sensor on the very top of the screen is being blocked. Chosen Solution I got in a PowerMac 8100/80 today with some data the customer needs on it. I thought no problem, I’ll just drop in a USB PCI card. Upon opening, it is NuBus. Pulled the hard drive and put in an external SCSI enclosure. Put a SCSI PCI card in to my MDD. The external drive is not seen. Checked my system profiler and see no SCSI driver. Any idea on where to get one that will work with 10....

Then if I hold the power button to turn it on the CPU gets red hot but nothing else. So firstly if the U2 IC is dead or burnt out would it still send power to the CPU? and secondly if the U2 IC was bad wouldn’t that get red hot too?...

Chosen Solution the washer won’t work because it thinks the door is open but I’ve been careful to close it It is possible that the door switch has failed. You could try getting another door switch and seeing if that makes it work. Have replaced door lock where do I find the switch

Chosen Solution Slide to unlock will not work. It must not recognize that I am sliding my finger across to unlock. Same thing with the slide to power off. Sounds like an unresponsive screen, maybe it was bumped at some stage. Reseating connctors in place would be the first step to take..if that doesn’t work second step would be attempting to replace the screen.

I take a series of photos. every so often the message on the camera says ‘unidentified image’ . on the computer these images are completely scrambled, like cut into random pieces and reassembled irregularly. But only on some of them, the others are fine. I’m about to dismantle the whole camera as the lens is stuck and need to know whether and what I should replace while I’m at it....

Should I remove the fan and try to thoroughly clean it again, or is this a hardware damage and I need to change the fan? It sounds pretty bad, probably it’s time for a replacement. However, you can try first to take it out and blow it again and clean the heatsink radiator at the same time....

Chosen Solution I changed the Display because of a crack in the screen. I replaced the display with no problems. But if I try to play music over Spotify etc. all sound comes from the earpiece. Do you know this problem how can I solve this? I wouldn’t be surprised the hit that caused the screen break also damaged the Audio IC, a relatively common issue on iP7. That can cause a number of sound problems, try to check if other audio functions work, message recording and so on....

Chosen Solution I’m fairly new to sourcing Mac parts. I had a logic board go out on one of my office computers recently. Any advice on finding replacements? I have the 820-5029-A board with the R9 M295X on it. I found a listing on eBay and ifixmaccomputers.com, but they’re both rather pricey at 600-700. I’m inexperienced so that may just be the going rate for the board. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks....

There do not appear to be any bulging electrolytic capacitors, though there is a fine white powder on various resistors, diodes, capacitors and jumper cables on the board. I note that the blinking seems to be from a reset of some sort as I tested voltages on the power board. A5V remains at a steady 5.3V but the other test points I could find drop to 0 volts every second or two and then back up to their proper voltage (timing coincides with standby light blink rate), B5V 0V to 5....

This happened after it froze on a blank screen for the first time (white with a slight orangy tint) while waking it up from sleep while docked using the Joy-Cons. I’ve never used any third-party dock or charger, no water, no falls. Could this be a hardware issue? Initially I thought so because of the similarity to the dock issues, but after running some tests (see below) I thought it might be software related....

Chosen Solution As mentioned, almost each time I wake up my laptop by opening the lid, it crashes. Sometimes short after, sometimes after a good 20 minutes. Also, after closing the lid (so that my laptop can sleep), the sleep indicator light goes off completely after pulsating only for a short while, unlike before when it glowed continuously until I opened the lid again. (This happens with and without AC adapter connected)....

First we try to change power pack, but it doesn’t work, the second power pack work better but only in some positions, I mean, the ending part of the cable had to be bent up, or down, only same position worked. Chosen Solution how do u remove the head rest I just removed them from a 95 Cavalier. No one really had a good way to do it other then cutting or butchering the seat up. It’s quite easy if you have the right tools. Take a old windshield wiper blade and remove the metal stainless steel strips. Cut them into 3 inch pcs. Bend it into the shape of an “L” (1"x2" roughly)....

Chosen Solution Is it possible to put a late 2013 iMac logic board into a late 2012 iMac which has a faulty board? Its much more flexible with the laptop ranges, but typically, the iMacs are less forgiving. They tend to change too much when going between years. For starters, the SSDs are not interchangeable between the Late 2012 and the Late 2013 models, but not all models have it, so it may not be a problem for your current configuration....
