Chosen Solution So Iv had this twice now in the last three days and its driving me insane. It goes as follows…. Customer drops in a 6s that’s been water damaged. Won’t charge, won’t power on, changing Tigris, tristar, active diode makes no difference. 3v and 1.8v at tristar surge up to operating voltage, drop to zero then back to operating voltage again. Chosen Solution I stripped the bolt on my 56o sl and and now I could not get it on. I read that tapping the thread could help and I have M 10x 1.5 mm but I don’t know what size of drill to buy or tap. Before you tear it all up, first remove the bolt. I need to remove the female mechanism to try and push it out from the rear of the mechanism The part it’s in is called the DC IN port. Once this is removed the center bracket on the back of the unit can sometimes be pulled slightly out and the tip removed....

Chosen Solution Every thing is fine exept I’m getting like 4 mpg and its smoking like !&&* Check the air filter . If the pcv is plugged it will blow the valve covers off. May want to check the fuel mix on the carb it sounds a little rich . Is the smoke blue black or white. Do your eyes water when standing around the engine when its idling if so you to rich....

Chosen Solution Suddenly, after 1 year and 6 months since its purchase, my phone stopped working properly. Chosen Solution So I replaced the flex cable that connects lightning, and headphone jack. Everything has been secured properly. Still having problems with the headphone jack, and to make matters worse I replaced the vibrator too and the new vibrator feels weak too. Do I have a bad flex cable? Vibrator was still weak with the old flex cable.

Chosen Solution After battery replacement with iFixit 2012 MacBook Air battery, trackpad is not working now. Hi guys, just to close this out. When I replaced the battery, I mistakenly removed the trackpad setting screw. (in the front middle) when I realized my mistake, then I didn’t know how to reset it. By trial and error, I reset it so that the head was exactly flush with the surface. Do Not tighten this screw, it is a setting screw....

Chosen Solution I need replacement heatsink hold-down pins (spring loaded plastic pins) for the CPU heatsink on my A1176. On the second CPU upgrade the one-way ends (under the logic board) snapped off two pins despite careful handling. I don’t want to buy a whole $100 dysfunctional mini on eBay just to get heatsink pins! I came up empty with Digi-Key and other component suppliers. Anyone have any ideas? Others have had the same problem and the solution they found was to use nylon screws, washers and nuts in the place of the pins....

Chosen Solution Our ‘pretty old’ Miele vacuum cleaner (its model C3 not the one above but I don’t know how add a model to the lookup table above) ratchet that rewinds the power cable when you press the RHS ‘comfort’ button stopped working a few days ago in that it wouldn’t lock when you pulled yards of cable out, just kept rewinding it back in. I’d done a ‘work around’ with a piece of wood to stop it....

Chosen Solution I ripped the LCD screen completely off attempting to repair my battery. What are my options at this point? what needs to be replaced? What do you mean by “ripped off”? If you broke all cables connecting the top to the bottom then you will need to replace the screen/digitizer and the front facing camera and sensor cable. the guides in ifixit will walk you through it pretty easily....
