Chosen Solution Hi, well I have a SCPH-5501 Playstation and for some odd reason the Spinner Hub wont read my disks (therefor going to the menu after the SONY logo appears) and makes a grinding like noise. Also, when I try touching the spinner it doesn’t make complete spins as a normal playstaion would. Plus, I did put some Vaseline underneath the Hub were it looks like a small corkscrew and still nothing....
Chosen Solution Hello, My friends Samsung galaxy tab 3 is completely dead. The last time she used it she said it was really laggy and slow. When the battery died, she plugged it in and the tablet is completely dead. It is showing NSOL and won’t accept a charge. @gigabit87898 check the charger, charging port and charging cable. If those are okay, it is time to repalce the battery. Start from there should further troubleshooting become necessary....

Chosen Solution This has happened for the first time since installing Win10 on this laptop - it is a former 8.1 laptop. In this case, I only installed it to get out of having to put up with it’s owner for a few more years. NO, I did not pick this - he did without asking me. While I am willing to replace the drive with an SSD if need be (as a weekend project) — as long as he gives me one to install (or cash to buy one), I see this laptop as the red headed stepchild due to the procedure required for the hard drive, which I’m (hopefully understandably so) not keen on doing when it inevitably dies....
Chosen Solution I just bought a used PS4 yesterday, and much to my horror it would not turn on when I brought it home. I set it up, and when I push power the blue light comes on for maybe a second, then shuts down completely. When I press it a second time, it beeps again (as it does when I touch “eject”). Sprocket wear can be caused by a number of things: dirt/debris damaging the teeth Improper pulley tension Worn chain or belt Bad bearings (causing high resistance) If you make the repair on your washer, I would highly recommend replacing as many parts in the pulley line as possible and giving everything a quick clean and lube....

This is great, but am wondering how to remove the Verizon Boot Splash screen and the pre loaded Verizon applications after the device is reset. Chosen Solution So it took half my life, but I finally got the smashed glass off my iPad Mini 2 and have the unit open. The LCD was pristine, but a small chunk of glass left a crescent shaped white mark near the middle of the LCD screen. I’m afraid to try to clean it or wipe it, but I want to make sure that if I go through with the rest of the repair, I won’t have to pull it apart again to replace the LCD as well....
Chosen Solution I fixed my PS3 per the instructions and it has worked for nearly a month. I have it in a more open environment so it wont over heat and i also don’t keep it on for more than an hour any more. Yet it still got the YLoD again. ylod repairs using hot air and reapplying paste aren’t a permanent fix..it has temporarily filled/reflowed the solder which has cracked under those chips....

Hi Neil, it is possible that the part itself is faulty, or, you haven’t lined up the part correctly on the metal plates, if they aren’t lined up, then they won’t click correctly, or if you have also replaced the physical button itself and not the flex, they will usually be missing the circular metal discs inside the button itself....
Chosen Solution Right hand side of the screen is shrinking. It is turning black and about 1/4 inch is now gone. Can no longer read the time or see the P on the keypad.. Slowly getting worse. I’d guess a broken LCD (display part of the screen). So you’d need to replace the display assembly.
Chosen Solution Hi Forum Friends I have a phone to repair, the customer says he dropped on a carpet and since then the screen keeps flickering.. I am guessing loose cable or damaged assembly? Any ideas You can try to tear it down, disconnect the LCD screen flex cable, reinstall it, and check if the problem is solved or not. Otherwise, it may need to replace a new LCD screen. Chosen Solution The screen does not power up after plugin it in. The led flickers and there is a chirping sound. After some time it turns on. I concluded it might be an broken capacitor. I found a broken one on the board and replaced it. The other capacitors seemed to be ok(checked using Multimeter measured capacity). The replacing of the broken capacitor did not fix the issue. Afterwards I started checking the voltage regulators....
