Have you done any work on it? If so the ribbon connector may have come a bit loose. Easiest way to check is to take the top plate off above the keyboard, remove the screws that are holding the keyboard down and then removing the keyboard itself....

Chosen Solution after putting new brushes in my drill it is trowing off a lot sparks where brushes make contact @leitj , john, this could be normal until brushes seat them selves/wear in. Run drill for a while and see if sparking lessons overtime if not take apart and clean and smooth armature where brushes ride, lightly sand with 400 grit sand paper(not to much) and blow clean, reassemble and try....

However when I was about to solder them, I noticed that one of the wires completely tore off the green part of the motherboard, but it was still soldered on to the metal part....

Chosen Solution the top screen of my ds is floppy it as no resistance when closing and just swings open an slams shut It sounds like the hinge is broken or weakened. Also, if the screen is flickering or malfunctioning it is usually cause by a damaged flex cable when the hinge gets broken. There are 2 parts you will need, the top screen, which can be aquired via ebay etc....

Chosen Solution My Macbook 1707 PMIC got hot. Removed the chip and the fifth pad from the bottom left (PP5V_S4) was carbonized (also the exact trace to this pad is not obvious). After carefully scraping the pad to expose some copper it shows a 0.3 ohm short. I know this is a complex issue but what is the best way to deal with this? Assuming ground is the top layer surrounding each pad, is the right way to deal with this to scrape away the ground top layer around this pad?...

Chosen Solution 2001 Oldsmobile Alero - my blower fan was only working on the highest 2 settings I replaced the resistor block and now it’s only working on the highest setting does anyone know why this might have happened or what could b wrong? When the resistor goes its usually on the high settings if more than one works its usually the switch on the control that needs replacing . If it was the resistor and it went as soon as you installed it you need to replace the motor....

If i’m looking at the photos, it seems like that there is a gold pin missing in the last picture. Besides that, what are those white strings at the logicboard? Hair? Have you already tried a new screen? Disconnect the screen and look for any debris between the connector from the display and the logicboard....
