Chosen Solution I broke the blue and red wires when replacing the screen, The red one broke off the board and the blue one didn’t. The wires are still sticking out enough on the speaker to use them. My question is do I need to desolder the solder from the board it connects to? Someone mentioned in another post that you can solder these wires to the top of the board instead of the bottom where it previously was....
Chosen Solution about a year ago my iBook would freeze and i would have to reboot it constantly. Eventually It wouldn’t boot at all and would just stay on the gray or blue screen. I took it to the genius bar and they told me that my hard drive was dying. I then took it to someone who said they could replace it for around $700. No. Thank. You. Chosen Solution Hi, after replacing volime flash power flex cable, i have full control of everything except up down volume control. Physical up down switches are clickable but do nothing. Earphone volume switches do nothing too. Any idea? Thanks I would go back and double check my work just to be certain. Things to look for would be tears, even partial ones, of the actual flex cable. There are tiny conductors running through the flex that can be easily damaged....

A replacement at the service center is quite expensive. But, I also have a working Find 7a as well. So can I replace the 7a’s LCD with the Find 7’s motherboard? You don’t hear the chime or rebooting sounds associated with startup. Chosen Solution To open my PB 17" I have to slide a business card between the monitor and case then slide it gently left and right to release the latches that hold the monitor closed, at which point the monitor opens as normal. When closing the monitor all works as normal. When pressing the front release button nothing happens. The release button does have some play in it. Chosen Solution i tried blowing into it but that didn’t work i think the microchip has something wrong with it because when i look in to it something inside is sticking up You probably have a pin that is bent. If it is sticking up then the game slot may need to be replaced. Sometimes you can get some fine point tweezers in there and bend them back, but sometimes they are just too bent....

The battery connector came off with a small amount of pressure as I was just trying to disconnect the battery, no biggie right? I’ll just solder it back on. I’m fairly confident it is only the Logic Board and the Magsafe DC Boards that need to be replaced, cost around $500 Australian using a second hand Logic Board of the same spec’s. It was a very good Laptop prior, 32GB of ram, 1TB Hard Driver, 2.9GHz i7 LOGIC BOARD. Purchased 03/2015, althought it is an Older model non Retina it is very good little work house....
