Chosen Solution Hi I used the guide here to replace the broken glass on my ipad. I have completed the reassembly apart from clipping the glass into the frame. I tested to see if it was working before clipping it back into one piece….. only to find the ipad powers up fine but the touch screen now isn’t working……. can anyone help? Check again the digitizer cable. Take it out and use “contact spray” on the contact....
Chosen Solution After my original battery started draining faster than normal, I ordered a replacement from iFixit. Replacement was smooth, but the new battery discharges faster than the original battery. Any advice? @fkmattern, floyd, Not positive, perhaps after a few charge/discharge cycles the battery may perform better. When you say battery draining faster than normal you must remember to consider all the Apps,etc. that may be running or running in the back ground....
Chosen Solution After a faulty USB cable fried my logic board, I needed a replacement. I got a used and tested one from iFixit. After replacing the logic board, the computer would only work from a charger, the battery was not recognized (the icon disappeared from the toolbar on the top as well.) I purchased an aftermarket battery from iFixit, but I have the same issue. After some more research I did an SMC reset and and NVRAM reset and checked with coconutBattery as well....

Chosen Solution Hi. I’ve done some fixing on my iPhone 5, and followed the iFixit tutorial for that. I have reassembled my phone, after replacing the power and audio control flex cable, which means a lot of parts, including the logic board. Anyway, everything works fine now, but the device isn’t closed tight enough, so the screen, on its upper part (near the power button), is protruding about 1.5mm up. I am aware that I should fit the screen in an order such that I first fit the upper part of it and only then the bottom, but once I fit the bottom, the upper part goes up a mm or so....
Chosen Solution Issue is start up chime, then loops. I unplugged the battery to break this cycle. I plug the battery back in with charger, it automatically turns on, hear the chime, then loops. keep hearing the chime. looks as if back light of screen attempts to come on, then back to the chime. Chosen Solution Google Play was accidentally uninstalled. I reinstalled it and now get the error message, “The application (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.” Is there a way to save my phone? It’s running Android version 4.1. I’ve only had the phone 4 days. Play store can’t normally be removed unless root access is granted. Chosen Solution Replaced cracked digitizer only, not LDC. All went fine and works prior to adhesion. But when I try to seat the digitizer on the frame where the ribbon cable reaches onto the board, the ribbon cables are so rigid I cannot seat the digitizer. The cabling looks different than my original and part of it has adhesive tape, but I cannot tell where it should be stuck??? I thought the rear of the LCD but it pivots Portrait and the digitizer pivots landscape, so I wouldn’t be able to connect the cables....
Chosen Solution To replace the screws in my LCD screen, I cut a strip of plastic from a shopping bag and then Poked a small hole in the plastic. Pushed the screw into the plastic to the head, held the plastic to the driver and inserted the screws. Any other Ideas? Magnetic screwdriver. I used double sided tape over the end of my torx driver. I had to use a new piece for two screws....

I’ve got a late 2008 unibody (really 2009). I had everything restored and running great, especially with an SSD. Amazing how much speed it adds and both nVidia gfx cards mean no issues. Anyway, I notice that there was no Wifi or BT present on the system....
