Chosen Solution How much would it cost to fix? It is hard to give you an estimate based on a one-line request. Some shops charge based on a flat-fee solution and others based on work done. Some shops will not try to fix your phone (only data). You will have to research repair shops that specialize in water damage and micro-soldering repairs. You can look at my profile for more info and there are several active members on this forum that do this type of repair as well....

Chosen Solution As I was leaving my destination I noticed while I was driving that the speedometer wasn’t working correctly, It was saying that I was doing over 90 mph but I was probably going 30/35 mph. Chosen Solution Earlier, I spilled some black coffee near my laptop, which was plugged in but closed and in sleep mode. The spill went under the laptop, which I immediately picked up, dried off, and unplugged. I didn’t power it down for another minute or two, after which I removed the bottom cover to find very little liquid inside… maybe 1/2 a teaspoon or less. I blotted the liquid and removed the battery which was completely dry aside from the tiny bit of liquid that had been on the top....

Chosen Solution Hi, Can I replace my optical drive on this mac with an SSD? I’m not sure if the optical drive is SATA or not? I saw some web pages mentioning PATA drives, which would mean my SSD (which I’d want to boot from) would be slower? Chosen Solution Hey when i plug my phone into the charger it just vibrates for about 30 seconds and then goes to the first screen for 5 secs. then returns to a black screen and vibrates every 2 secs. i can get to the boot menu but apon selecting any of the options it cycles back to a black screen and vibrating. What should i do now… Try removing the battery and then holding down the power button for a few minutes to discharge the cache ....

Chosen Solution Hello, i’ve got two pixel 4a phones, one with a broken microphone (outputs a loud cracking sound), and another with a scracked screen (a small crack along the bottom edge). I would like to swap the microphone from the phone with the cracked screen, but i’m affraid that in doing so i would have to buy a new screen for the donor phone. I don’t need the screen replaced, as the phone isn’t used daily, and it isn’t worth the cost, but it would be nice if it wast still working after the fact....

Chosen Solution Even while the computer is just sitting there on, eventually it heats up to a point and then shuts down… I have temperature monitor lite program running and it has the cpu temp running around 80c when it shuts down the hard drive is staying around 35c and the fans start to really scream when its getting hotter… im assuming its a fan problem but i wasnt sure if anybody else had something similar happen and they were able to fix it… Thanks!...

Chosen Solution A buddy of mine asked me to fix his home button. I bought a new home button knowing that touch id wouldn’t work, after i replaced the home button it still didn’t work. Is there any connection that might be causing this? I went through the connections a few times and found nothing that would be causing the failure. I want to know if the front camera that I bought has a plastic covering the camera and infrared camera when you shipped it? Hello Francisco That piece is synchronized with the motherboard, just like touch ID. If you replace it, you will have a new camera but it will not work for face ID....

Chosen Solution The telephoto camera (bottom left) glass that covers the actual lense is cracked exposing the lense of the camera. What component do I need to change to repair it? To replace cracked lens glass, use iFixit’s replacement rear camera lenses and bezels in addition to replacement adhesive. You can buy replacement glass on eBay etc, usually come as a set of three. Make sure they come with the adhesive rings....

I left them both plugged in all night long, then when disconnecting, if I try to turn them on, I get a brief split second screen wtih a blue light, then they turn off. Chosen Solution Well, first of, I got a problem with a iPhone 5. After a screen replacement, the home button stopped working, I quickly replaced the buttonparts and I still couldent make it work. Everything looks fine regarding connectors - the pins from the flex cable is matching the “flex” from the home-button. I have tried shortening the pins with a screwdriver and replaced multiple flex cables but it still not work, is it possible some other connectors is damaged - and in what should I then be looking for?...

Chosen Solution Hi Guys, I have an Apple 2TB time machine in which the reset button on the back in damaged and I am unable to reset it so that it can rejoin my home network. I want to remove the HDD and install it another enclosure and use as a backup external HDD. Apple do not repair these, as you probably know. Chosen Solution Believe I have made a noobie mistake. I was having a hard time desoldering a Samsung Galaxy Exhibit SCH-T599 charging port. Because of past trial and errors I didn’t use a heating gun, only a soldering iron. I desoldered the sides, heated the pins solder and pulled the port up and off. Those little metal ’thingys’ (that the pins make contact with) CAME OFF the logicboard, still stuck to the solder on the pins....
