Chosen Solution I’ve unplugged for three minutes and still won’t turn on. Hi, Here is a link to the service manual for your receiver. A POW5 error message indicates that there is a problem with the +5V DC supply inside the receiver. The service manual has schematics of all the boards allowing you to trace where the problem may be. Hopefully this is of some help. If you don’t have the requisite knowledge or tools to diagnose and fix the problem, I suggest that you contact a reputable, professional electronics repair service and ask for a quote to repair the receiver....

Chosen Solution Hi folks, I was recently greeted by the dead battery icon (black “X” inside the battery icon in the menu bar, and it says “No battery available“ when I click it). Chosen Solution I recently removed my optical drive in favor of another hard disc drive. When we ‘upgraded’ my machine, I went ahead and installed El Capitan 10.11.3 .. I can no longer use my SuperDrive with this machine. It picks my drive up perfectly when I look at the system profiler, but I can’t get the drive to accept a disc, and El Capitan gives me a warning at the top right when I plug it in that says it wont work with this machine....

Chosen Solution My wife was driving down th side of the road when the car completly lost power. The car started to slowly loose electricity and after 5 minutes the car was completly dead. I bought a new battery and a new alternator thinking that would fix the problem. As soon as I went to hook up the battery the positive cable started shooting sparks and the engine was turning over without the keys being in the ignition....

Chosen Solution I replaced the battery on the 40GB Mono Chrome iPod 4th Gen. I followed the guide to the T. Now I have it back together and plugged it into my Mac. It’s cycling through the Apple Logo, then the Sad Face with the support url, and then to the Low Battery symbol. It stays on the low battery symbol for about 3-5 minutes then starts over. I took it apart again and checked all the connections....

Chosen Solution Hi, my laptop had liquid damage that caused the keyboard pyboard to be always on cap lock and as if the shift key was always engaged. So I got the new keyboard. And replaced it today but when rebooted it still didn’t work. What is the next step? What else could be wrong? Check the trackpad cable and the trackpad connector on both areas of where they connect. Sometimes the cable connector gold pins on the black ribbon flex itself can get corroded from liquid damage and needs to be replaced....

Chosen Solution I thought I would replace my thermal paste because it’s been 8 years and this laptop has not received any internal maintenance. I replaced the thermal paste, applied it evenly with an applicator, evenly screwed down the heatsink and pipe, and now im stuck thermal throttling when the computer boots, and the fan is going at full speed. I do not have the backplate on, but I don’t know why that would make a difference....

Is your phone an iPhone 6 or 6 plus? The length of the cable are different between the two models. You’ll need to pull the old one off, you can tear the little heat shield sticker off along with it if you want....

Chosen Solution Problem: I’m repairing my laptop and two of the USB ports are in need of replacement. This is due to the plastic dividers at the center of the port breaking. I am going to remove them and solder on replacement ports, but am having difficulty identifying the specific replacement to order. Chosen Solution Hi all, Yesterday i repaired my old note 5 ( new screens and battery ) ive used it all day today without issue, untill i got home and the S-PEN had broken inside off it and i was trying to get it out, i tried tapping on the bottom off the phone trying to get the pen out and then the phone turnt off and started to boot up again and then turnt back off, i have just opened the phone to find the new battery cable had snapped off the battery, i have put my old battery back in but still wont turn on, or show up on computer....
