Chosen Solution I have run into this problem before, but ribbon cables are just so impossible to put back into place, they just bend up. Is there a correct method to doing this? The ribbon cables are the only problem I have left, and there are a few different ones on the board. The tiniest one seems to be the hardest. Can I use dielectric grease? That would probably make a bigger mess than anything....

Chosen Solution So I am repairing an Iphone 5s, bought a new screen, connected the new screen, and everything works great, start from the top of the screen by putting the tabs under the frame clip the top of screen down and in place. Chosen Solution I’ve replaced the logic board, which did fix the problem with the ram coming unseated frequently. However, I am still having this problem where touching the left front (closest to me if the computer is open & facing me) quadrant of the lower case causes the screen glitch with barcodes then the system freezes & either auto-reboots or must be manually turned off & restarted. Any thoughts? I was considering trying to construct a strong, secondary bottom case that attaches at the corners & gives a 1/2" gap to avoid touching that spot, but if someone knows what’s causing this, I would much rather fix the problem!...

Chosen Solution Would it be possible to replace an iPad 2 display with a retina display for the iPad 3?. In short, no. The iPad 3 has a completely different connector on the logic board and it is located in a different place. There are also firmware incompatibilities that wouldn’t allow you to do it. The iPad 2 isn’t meant to drive such a high resolution. Hope this helps.

Chosen Solution I was replacing my brother’s iPhone 5 battery and after opening the screen panel a small metal part with two holes fell out and I have no idea where it goes. Also, this black strip towards the home button appears loose and I’m not sure where that goes, either. Chosen Solution On my keyboard there are some buttons that don’t work properly. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. I would try cleaning underneath your key caps and see if you can get your keyboard to function afterwords. The best way to do this is to remove the key caps from the keyboard itself. Chosen Solution This forum doesn’t have a dell T7500 as an option, but that is what I’m talking about. I have a T5500 and a T7500 that both sustained about 1 - 2 inches of water damage, from the bottom up. The T7500 will turn on for a second and then turn off, but if you hold the self-test button on the PSU it stays on for longer. Same thing with the T5500....

Chosen Solution I have some spare thermal pads and limited thermal paste. does a thermal pad work just as well as some thermal paste? @vehiclefreak409 I would think so, I have used thermal pads before with relatively good success. I have found the ones that are more paste feeling rather than rubbery work better for higher heat CPU and heatsink applications.
