The only thing is now the home button wont work unless you roll your finger across the button while pressing. Chosen Solution So before I move forward on this “fun” one I’d like to get some input. Long story short iPhone 6 was dropped and now it’s in recovery mode. Found pp1v8 to be shorted along with pp_gpu and pp3v3_acc. pp3v3_acc short removed. Literally went through all caps on back side of board for pp_gpu and only ones left are filled right next to apu…which for obvious reasons…Im hesitant to touch unless I’ve exhausted all other options....

I have to keep gas on it Jorge, Have truck scanned for trouble codes, some auto parts places offer code reading for free and may be a big help in diagnosing issue. It does sound like it could be a large vacuum leak. Check all vacuum hoses for cracks/loose/off....

I’ve tried all the methods I can, rubber band, flat head, a bigger size bit, etc. but not things like a dremel, hammer, etc. (live in a dorm, not allowed to have that kind of stuff). Chosen Solution Device was used in hot tub for over an hour and has suffered steam damage. Replaced the lightning connector and battery but no audio. Works fine with headphones. Replaced the loud speaker and still no audio. Do you think it could be a faulty replacement lightning connector or perhaps more serious such as the audio chip or a logic board issue? I replaced the lightning assembly originally as the device had charging cable issues which are normally rectified this way....

They are noticeable when looking at it in the light and you can e asily feel that they are raised above the case.
