Question: Can I replace both items in one fell swoop? Or should I replace the screen, boot everything back up, then replace the battery? Chosen Solution I received yesterday the 3 battery replacements from Ifixit and today I tried to change them. No problem with one 6S, working perfectly after the change. I started with my iphone 7, following the instructions. Old battery removed, new one in place and once I connected everything and before assemble, two things: message on the screen that “Touch Id cannot be activated”, so not working and screen started to show “vibrating images”, front camera working....

Chosen Solution Hi I’ve a water damaged 2nd Gen 32gb. Was only slightly wet due to my toothing son sticking it in his mouth. Screen does not work at all, I-Tunes recognises the device, and music on the device plays when on my JBL dock. Any idea’s? Thanks I get the idea that the liquid could have damaged the connection between the screen and the logic board. Maybe a cleaning of the socket will help....
Chosen Solution The screen went black randomly although backlight was still working, I thought this was a screen problem so I replaced the screen with a spare one I had which then the same problem occurred, soft resets did not work. I put the phone into recovery mode and connected to iTunes and restored but during the process the phone goes onto the Apple logo screen with a bar and a few seconds later an error comes up on iTunes (unknown error occurred(9)) and the phone goes back to the screen not working....

So I’m guess they just used the back of 4S replace a broken one. I need to replace the battery. Should I order the 4 battery or the 4S? Sometimes the pins are dirty or bent. The fault may also be with the SIM card itself. Try a new SIM card first before you open the phone....
