Chosen Solution I need to ship a hard drive in a couple of days and am out of anti-static bags. Anyone know of any common household item that can be used as a substitute? Hey, all. Since there were conflicting answers on the aluminum foil suggestion, I did a bit of poking around and discovered that Staples has anti-static bubble wrap – http://www.staples.com/Staples-Anti-Stat… . Not the zero cost solution I was hoping for, but not too expensive and it should last me pretty much forever....

Chosen Solution cold water fills very slowly Aimee, check cold water faucet/valve is fully open, make sure hoses are not kinked, if all looks OK, shut off the cold water valve, remove supply hose from machine and check the filter screen for being partially plugged, either in the end of hose or in inlet on machine. Clean screen and reattach, open water supply and try machine. If this does not fix, have water pressure checked, or machine may have a faulty/plugged fill solenoid....

Chosen Solution Bro i have the same problem. My xbox 360 E i have been using for 1 year i think its still new. But now it got a problem when i turn on without av cable it does shows me green light and when i put in av cable the red light it comes up. I dont know what to do guyz. should i have to buy another cable?or no need to buy ....

Chosen Solution We have tried everything to fix it: removed the battery and put it back in again…nothing.held down the power botton for specified time…nothing.tried booting it…nothing.tried Esc 6… nothing.a message came up andd said the issue was with the drive or the keyboard,so inorder to find out which one was causing the problem, i had to press the tiny button on the side of the laptop…still nothing. CAN ANYONE HELP?...

Chosen Solution So i got this Ipad mini 2 from a client, just said it wouldn’t work. Opened it up and could see water damage in the upper left by the connectors for the digitizer and lcd. Cleaned it up with alcohol. Installed a new LCD and Digitizer. Comes on works. But these red dots are on the screen… I installed another new LCD same red dots in the same area....

Chosen Solution Hey all Trying to repair my mums iPhone 5c after she dropped it in the washing up bowl. Replaced the battery +volume/hold switch cable now part of the mother/logic board gets extremely hot and fast when the battery is connected. I assembled it all back together and with the display connected but lifted it gets hot. This is before attempting to power on or do anything, soon as the battery is in it gets hot....

Chosen Solution my computer macbook pro is on the “choose user account” on the reset password in utility mode and shows no users to choose , as in no choices, nothing, just empty, all i really want to do is not lose my personal files , all of which are on my desktop. it won’t recognize my original password and user name nor my new one, please help At boot press the option key and enter the recovery partition where you will find the terminal utility....

Chosen Solution I got a Ulefone Armor 11 5G and was trying to root the phone. In the process I overrode the recovery mode to use TWRP and deleted the OS. Eventually, on one of the restarts, I was no longer able to fastboot through the PC and the phone does not stop boot looping. I have been reading forums and looking at videos for like 4 hours now and I literally don’t know what to do anymore....

Chosen Solution Hi all, My MBP had been running very slow for a while - beachballs, apps taking forever to open etc. So i backed up, deleted the HD and formatted, reinstalled Yosemite (it was running slow on Mavericks also). I only put a few apps back on but its is still as slow as ever. Its a bog standard machine, no upgrades. Any help much appreciated Do you have an external drive to boot up your system?...

Chosen Solution I have seen many issues with the microwaves failing to turn on when the door is closed. Small twist on that theme -> Our microwave ALWAYS turns ON when the door closes. If there is nothing programmed for cooking time the unit just hums away (and heats!) after shutting the door. I also tested the unit by programming a cook time (1 minute 45 seconds) at power level 2 to see what happens to a cup of water- it was hot as if the microwave operated at full power....

Last night everything was fine, but this morning I turned on my mac and the first thing that happened was that I saw vertical red lines all over the screen where white should be and flickering green dots a little bit on where black should be. Chosen Solution Hi im going to replace the keyboard on my laptop as it shorted the motherboard. the motherboard is fixed but the keyboard is currently unplugged from the board as its fkd, however i dont know what caused the keyboard to short the motherboard, but i want to put some sort of layer between the motherboard and the keyboard so that it prevents static or somehow accidental contact between the bottom of the keyboard and the back of the motherboard....

Chosen Solution So as i asked earlier, my hdd is failing, and a thunderbolt enclousure is not an option at all…so well i decided to change the internal hdd for a ssd ( and also change thermal paste to Kyronaut Extreme, and clean the fan) but there is a problem, looking at the specifications (i use bootcamp only because college software is exclusive to windows) of the hdd, its says that is connected to a sata 2 port ( or limited to sata 2 speeds)...

Chosen Solution I’ve seen this question numerous times so I went to take the logic board out of my macbook in order to follow one of the fixit guides and am now confused! Background to this is: Macbook Pro 2015 13” died one day and wouldn’t turn on. Took it to Apple who said logic board needs replacing (they didn’t mention water damage) and I would have to speak to the people I bought it from (KRCS) Sent it to KRCS and asked for a warranty repair who told me it would cost £900 to fix as it was water damage....

Chosen Solution How does the tilt wheel lever come out of steering column? John, Older models were threaded into tilt linkage, so to remove them you would turn counter clockwise to remove lever. If like the F150 with plastic tilt lever, lever is just a push/wedge fit on a tapered rectangle, remove screws under the steering column to remove trim and slide lever off taper shaft. Chosen Solution i have a power mac g4 with a power pc4 processor and im wanting to upgrade the the processor to a intel processor Although machead is correct in that you can’t go to an Intel processor, a couple of companies make processor upgrades for your machine. Newertech makes one that really screams compared to a 400 MHz. You cam find it here: http://www.newertech.com/products/maxpow… Not possible - You can not use an Intel CPU on any Power PC Mac/Motherboard....

Chosen Solution Last year I upgraded my macbook ram from 8gb to 16gb. (It’s a Macbook Pro 13’’ mid 2012 - model A1278) It originally came with 2x4gb DDR3, and I replaced with 2x8gb DDR3L, as advised by a friend and after checking several online foruns. About 6 months later the macbook died and I had to get the logic board replaced. The thing is: “the guy” at the repair shop said the ram was probably the cause, because using a low-voltage ram on the system originally designed to use DDR3 ram caused the system to have “extra energy running around” and it fried the logic board....
