First, I would follow the steps on page 159 to clear the paper jams. Follow the instructions for clearing the jams both inside the printer (page 159) and in the automatic document feeder (page 160). This is just to make sure all document paths are clear. If clearing the jams does not work, try unplugging the printer for 30 minutes to see if this resets the jam indication....

History: Initially it started freezing, I suspected that it was overheating so I disassembled it, cleaned dust, cleared old dry compound and applied new arctic silver. Chosen Solution I spilled coffee (fully loaded with all the goodies) on my Surface Book keyboard. I dried it off and rinsed it (upside down) with water to get the stickyness out of it. I let the keyboard battery fully discharge and put in a bag of rice (the big one from Costco) for a week. The clipboard still works fine and I can connect it to the base and the base trackpad and keyboard works but the base battery will no longer charge....

Chosen Solution When we push the rectangular area to open the door, it will still open, but feels loose. I’m afraid the latch will quit working entirely. It seems to be a spring that has maybe come off a bracket that hold it in place, or maybe the spring itself has broken. All the remedies I see, deal with a door latch that has a handle, this one does not have a handle....
Chosen Solution Is it mandatory to detach the LCD completely when replacing a charging port? No it’s not mandatory but you only have to remove an extra 4 screws. With the screen off it will be a lot easier to manoeuvre the phone around to access the screws and use your pry tool without risk of damaging the screens flex cables.
Chosen Solution I like to read, and I also like really old books. Lately I’ve been visiting garage sales and buying old books to read. What I’ve noticed though is a lot of these books have spines that are worn down and are barely holding the book together. I’ve repaired some of them by using librarian’s tape, but this doesn’t work well on hard-cover books, and looks kind of ugly on paper-back books....
