Chosen Solution I can’t remember the exact cause of when this started happening but I have a feeling it occurred after dropping the phone on its front face. At the moment only the front facing camera works and the rear facing camera only works in 2x mode. So portrait mode just shows a black screen. While in 2x mode I can get the camera flash to work fine but for some reason the torch won’t activate even though I thought they have the same output....

Chosen Solution I just replaced the cracked display assembly of my MacBook Pro 15" Mid 2014. After turning on the MBP the screen stays black. I have checked all motherboard connections as well as the brightness and performed a SMC reset. I then put the display assembly on another MBP to confirm the screen is working and it is on that MBP. So I know the display assembly is 100% ok....

Chosen Solution Can I replace the battery in the 4Gen iPod touch Yes, but it requires de-soldering and soldering. If you don’t have the equipment or experience with solder work I would highly recommend you send it to a service center.

Chosen Solution I can not find a replacement charge port anywhere, where would i buy one I would suggest you to go with only official repairement center, who may update it with working port . Chosen Solution My LCD screen on my iMac g5 is going out. Half my screen is black/grey/blue and half is showing normal pixels. Everything is running normal with the hard drive. When i turn it on only half of my desktop icons appear. Question…Can my LCD screen be replaced or can i connect a 2nd monitor to CPU/Hard drive? Could also be a bad LVDS cable. Try to connect to an external monitor to confirm that the graphic chip is fine....

Is this salvageable. Hello Virgilio, I assume you mean the little ‘flap‘ you use to secure the connector in place. It’s there to put pressure onto the ribbon cable to make sure it’s making a good contact....

Chosen Solution We take pictures on our new Nikon Coolpix S33 and turn off camara. When we take the next batch of pics, these are saved to another folder. By the end of the day, we can have 50+ folders. Our older Coolpix did not do this. We would like the days worth of pics saved to one folder on the SD card. Any suggestions? Unfortunately, my situation is compounded by the fact that my phone has no power left. Thats how it started in fact. So you plug in the phone and it shows the battery icon but only for about 5 seconds. Then it immediately tries to boot despite not having enough power. So it goes back to charging mode of around 5 seconds and repeats....

Chosen Solution Hello. I have an iPhone 7 that’s stuck in recovery mode (connect to iTunes screen / support.apple.com). Happened during an update to 12.4 and backup didn’t happen for some reason. Every time I try to update to 12.4 I keep getting unknown error 14 every time the update status bar reaches the 1/2 mark. I also noticed the iPhone resets during the update process - (aka the screen goes black, then the connect to iTunes screen comes on and iTunes says I need to update or restore)....

Chosen Solution After completing a repair i was reassembling a repair, and once it was put back together the front pannel cable areas became very hot. What is the cause of this and how can i stop it? If you can feel excess heat, then something is shorting or pulling excessive current. Take the screen off, inspect the connectors, inspect the small parts in the screen assembly and re-assemble. You may have a faulty replacement screen or incorrectly mated the connectors....

Chosen Solution Lens shutter does not open every time and needs to be manually opened. What corrective work is required? It has new batteries. @dwalter , Dirk, I will post a couple links for you to check out on repairing a sticking digital camera shutter. You could have a good camera repair shop have a look, diagnose and estimate repair, but you would have to weigh the the cost effectiveness. Good luck....
