Chosen Solution One day my screen started flickering then it went black. I thought the lcd / led screen was dead but on further investigation (shining a light through the apple logo) I found that the screen is working fine its the backlight. Now I can not find a clear fix for this. Could I just buy a new screen and all will be well or is it something else I need to look at thanks...
Chosen Solution my screen has some issues interlacing when starting up and at the logon in screen it shows this: i also get a videocontroller error when i run AHT. it displays fine on the external monitor. fixed it with a new lvds cable AHT knows what it knows… so you have a video controller hardware issue. On laptops these are not DIY replace/repairable. If you have Applecare use it… if not you’re looking at a DIY replacement of the logic board (advanced DIY)....

Chosen Solution Spilled a small amount of water on laptop, I had a cover on the keyboard but some still got in there. I dumped it upside down immediately and then toweled it off. Next I used the blow dyer on low setting for 10 minutes before I realized our Hepa airfilter has a powerful fan so I put the laptop in front of the killer fan to dry it for 24 hours....
Chosen Solution I’ve got three HDs on my Mac Pro 8 core, two are SATA drives with two different bootable OS installed. The third drive is an SSD( my main drive ). On random boot ups, the computer often stalls. if I pull the SSD, I can get it to boot. After several boot ups, I’ll plug in the SSD and it’ll boot up just fine. The SSD is a fairly new OWC 6G....

Chosen Solution I’ve seen it be called a lcd back cover, but I’m not sure if that’s the name so I will provide pictures. I also can really find my exact computer here, mine is a HP Pavilion x360 Convertible. It has a touchscreen and it looks pretty similar to the Touchsmart one so I chose that. The side of my cover is cracked, but there’s no damage to the screen itself....

Chosen Solution I read that the early 2009 unibody now could get 8 Gb of Ram. I bought 2 4Gb ram on iFixit and installed them. BUT now my batterytime is only a third and it gets very hot even in sleep mode! Anybody with an answer? This is a problem which I think we’ll see a great deal of as people upgrade RAM to the max. Please work with me on solving this....

But it also happens after the computer exits sleep mode. Now, when I launch it, I need to press the power button until the loading bar appears. If not, the computer shut down after the “bong”. I ran a Etrecheck analysis and I always have the “battery failure” (Error 79) corresponding to the crashes....
