Chosen Solution I had a 1TB Seagate and installed a 2TB Seagate Barracuda. The temp sensor fit into the new drive perfectly, and I thought all was fine. As soon as the computer turns on, the hdd fan starts to slowly creep up, and up, until it’s eventually at full blast, even though the temp stays stable at 33. Any ideas? Don’t want to short the sensor if I don’t have to and a software solution doesn’t sound ideal....

Mandy, that’s a great suggestion however there are numerous reports of huge delays as there are thousands of people try to get these done. In some cases, Apple geniuses are pushing back and not offering replacements. So user experience may vary. As for availability of replacement batteries within iFixit, the OP needs to direct the question to iFixit Support, this forum is just volunteers helping DIY fixers....

Chosen Solution Have not yet stuck screen to body of iPad. Upon making the 3 connections with adhesive wifi and having transferred home button have these issues Intermittent ghost touching where apps open and actions occur without touching screen which is gently resting atop open iPad body and has no load on it. Can swipe down from top but not up from bottom those guys o can select apps from home tray and open with touch....

While looking at the slots, press the latch release button in Notice how the two metal latches slide back? Chosen Solution Recently changed iPhone 5S LCD, It was working well for few hrs. Now Bottom part of the home page, lock screen, youtube app etc is flickering. but the phone dialer, settings app view screen is not flicker. Basically screen flickers when there is color in screen, If screen is more white with text then there is no issue with flickering. Is this a hardware issue? Probably just a faulty screen or connector wasn’t properly locked in place....

Chosen Solution Having troubles trying to reload an iBook G4 12" (1.33 GHz 512MB, 40 GB HDD & DVD/CDRW). When option button is pressed during the startup, a blue screen comes up with a lock icon, a progress bar, and a right arrow button. Also during normal startup, instead of the normal apple logo, its a flashing square icon with a globe of the earth, then it goes to the regular folder icon and mac logo (the one that indicates there is no operating system) and pressing C at startup doesn’t work either....

This is a belated answer so hopefully it can be of use to folks who search for and find this question. Normally when searching for shorts, we should inject a lower voltage directly on VCC_MAIN rather than a higher voltage on BATT_VCC. The reason for doing this is that injecting a high voltage may overcome some of the built-in over-voltage protection circuits on the logic board....

Chosen Solution I’ve got an Acer ed242qr where the left half of the screen has a strange color shift. I tried disassembling the unit and reconnecting all cables with no change. I don’t think the issue is with the panel because I powered the monitor up with one of the main board cables unplugged and the monitor cycled through a red/blue/green full screen and those colors seemed perfectly normal. Is this likely an issue with the main board, cables, panel board or other?...

Chosen Solution My SONY VAIO MULTI-FLIP 14A is great and no problems for 3 years until today when the LOCK/RELEASE switch to turn it into TABLET is STUCK. It wont move. Any suggestions? it seems that it is jammed so go to the source, in other words you would have to take apart (at least partly), as the laptop isn’t the most popular you might have to look at a teardown of a different device in the same series though....

Chosen Solution The machine seems to overheated during rinse and it kicked off and will not turn back on, the machine is half full of water also now. Ken, possibly a lid switch failure/fault. Chosen Solution They have power but they don’t have sound Ken Hale you are not telling us how they are connected. I am assuming they are on a computer. You do want to make sure that you are not having the mute button on and that your computer does indeed have audio out on. Also, make sure that the volume is up. To test the speakers, I would suggest that you use a different input source....

Chosen Solution I got the thick battery kit to replace in the ipod classic… and even looking at it, it seemed pretty thick.. there is no way I can snap the front of it together with it. How is it possible that it says it fits.. but does not? The screen itself is bowing out a little bit, unless the battery has been swollen past the normal size.. Works great though for now....

Chosen Solution I have a xbox one that i got in Janurary of 2015 that has my copy of just cause 3 stuck in the disk drive. Every time i try to get it out it dosen’t work. I’ve tried using an allen key to manually eject it 4 times and i’ve tried using the eject button to get it out. When i try to play it it says there is no disk in the drive, and when i press the eject button, it makes a very loud and worring noise that sounds like it’s trying to eject and accept a disk at the same time....
